Perfect for making sponge balls, or even moulds for chocolate, sweets, jelly perhaps, whatever your imagination comes up with.
Only thing I would suggest, though it is silicone and supposed to be nonstick, I would definitely advise to grease the mould lightly on both halves. If using it for cake pops, greasing lightly then a light dusting of flour is a must, as I found out. It does advise it on the packaging but I didn't the 2nd time round which was a bit silly of me.

This cake pop mould is a great price and arrived quickly, but I had a slight issue with the recipe provided on the packaging. It said to use 3 eggs in the mixture, but this made a very wet mixture which failed to rise. I would recommend using 2 eggs to 4oz each of butter, flour and sugar. Other than that, the mould is easy to use, easy to clean and seems pretty robust, and makes great cake pops (once you get the recipe right!).

Brilliant. So much easier to use than the plug in electric cake pop makers.
I use a basic sponge cake mix, filling the bottom half of the mould to just below the top of each mould for perfect round cakes.
It cooks evenly but remember to place on a baking tray to avoid it bending when you pick it up which will spill or damage the cakes.
Definitely worth the £3.50 i paid

I purchased this item to make cake pops with my 2 young niece's at a pre christmas family get together.
I made the pops using the recipe that came with the mould. Had to get use to how much mixure to put in
the mould, cooked well. When it come to decorating the pops everyone got involved and fun was had by all.
Very pleased and great fun for young and old alike.

very good - don't fill them too much otherwise the cake mixture leaks out. Godd if you need perfect shapes - personally I went to the hand rolling stage and just used cooked sponge cake mised with fudge icing to make it pliable. Bit less faff than using this - but its still very useful if you need perfection or want to use it for other things

I was looking forward to using these silicone bun trays.
I was a bit upset as after following the instructions all the cakes stuck?
Thought the whole idea of these was that with the silicone trays you didnt need any grease?
They work fine if you smother the cups and the edges in marg first.
