LG 42" CS460 LCD TV
on 25 October 2012
I bought this TV after reading multiple positive reviews and doing a lot of research on LCD vs LED vs Plasma....
When it arrived (in incredibly quick fashion, seeing as I opted for super saver delivery), it was easy to set up and a nice looking bit of kit.
However.... after owning a 32" Sony Bravia for the past 5 years, I had been expecting to see a massive improvement in the picture quality, and I was actually a little underwhelmed.
Yes it was Ok on the HD channels, but most of the TV I watch is SD, and I thought the picture quality was pretty average on SD. There was a lot of blurring around people on the screen, and watching football was pretty poor. The 5 year old Sony was actually giving a better quality picture.
Needless to say I have now sent this TV back (full refund from amazon was very quick) and have purchased a LG 42LS5600, which is incredible by comparison, is LED, 100hz and was only an extra £80. Given all the extra connections (and data connection for streaming) it was well worth it.
Final thought, as a very budget TV it is ok, but if you have a little extra cash, the LS5600 was much better.
