I wish I had read the reviews of the other oils sold by the same seller before purchasing this based on the one positive review. I noticed many people saying the exact same thing as I thought when I recieved my 'argan oil'; the bottle is unsealed and filled up with sunflower oil. One person said she ordered 4 different oils, but when they arrived it was all the same oil in each of the bottles - sunflower oil.
It does not absorb into the skin easily and leaves a greasy film, whereas argan oil is the exact opposite. Sunflower oil is a good natural moisturiser/hair conditioner, which is why people posting positive results about how their skin feels soft think that this product is the real deal. But sunflower oil is no where near as good as argan oil, and no one should be cheated out of £8 for 100ml of sunflower oil, when it costs about £1 a litre in your local supermarket!
I have a bottle of sunflower oil in my kitchen, so I poured some into a glass, alongside the 'argan oil' just to double check/confirm my doubts. It was the same colour, had the same faint aroma and the EXACT same taste.
I sent an email to Naissance and they refunded my money without question, they didn't even try to deny they had done it, perhaps to prevent me from taking further action.
I just want to warn you all out there, you get what you pay for. Cheap argan oil is probably not argan oil, or has been heavily diluted with cheap vegetable oils. You are best buying the real stuff from a genuine certified company, which will unfortunately come with a price tag, but at least you know it was worth it.

TOP 1000 REVIEWERon 4 August 2012
*DO NOT BUY THIS IT IS SUNFLOWER OIL* Purchased this a few months ago (my 1st foray into pure argan oil) It seemed nice enough, although couldn't smell the "nutty" aroma it was meant to have & wasn't very impressed with the disappearing" effect it's meant to have, it stayed oily on my skin. Recently purchased another make from a reputable supplier & discovered why this wasn't the "miracle" it had claimed to be... It's sunflower oil, plain oil, bog standard, sort you cook with, sunflower oil (had reputable dealer confirm this for me & show me the MANY differences between this & the real stuff!) So I'm VERY annoyed, bought this for £8 (not inc. P & P) & I actually have about 25p's worth of cooking oil!! Thought I could trust this as it said "Organic soil association" on it. Havn't bothered contacting seller as if they are the sort of people that are happy to rip you off in this way then I doubt they'll care when caught out. There are plenty of REPUTABLE dealers out there, don't get sucked in by the price. If it's too good to be true, it usually isn't. Would give no stars but can't.

Im pretty sure this is not argan oil. I was very disapointed to find that the bottle of this and a bottle of wheatgerm oil I purchased from naissance contained ecxactly the same stuff. Odourless and colourless oil that seemed to be more like cooking oil. Argan oil should have a very strong nutty odour (and wheatgerm oil is deep yellow in colour and should smell like "wheat"). I found a different brand in amazon that sells the real stuff for the same price and it most definetely is argan oil. The difference is huge! Real argan oil is absorbed in minutes and doesnt just sit there leaving a horrible greasy feeling like this oil did. I would never recommend this oil from naissance to anybody!

I was hesitant about buying this oil due to some of the reviews from people who believe this oil is not genuine. I have use many brands of argan oil and this argan oil is definitely consistent with the properties of argan oil. It has the distinctive argan oil smell. It has the right consistency and it soaks into the skin as argan oil does. Like any argan oil you have to give it a short time to soak in. I have very sensitive skin and I had no adverse reaction. It left my skin feeling supple and soft. I would not hesitate to use this product again.

Bit puzzled by some reviews. I use a lot of different oils and can tell the difference between argan and sunflower. The oils I have bought from Naissance have been exactly what they were supposed to be and very high quality.

This is my first purchase of pure Argan Oil...previously have used products which contain some as part of a long list of ingredients. I've been looking for a facial product since my favourite Garnier creams were withdrawn...their replacements never worked for me! This bottle of Argan oil is straightforward...I just pour a TINY bit out onto the palm of my hand and then apply with fingers to face and neck....but really need to get hold of a dripper or spray to make it go further. I wipe my oily fingers on knees or other dry skin to remove excess. Interestingly, after 3 weeks of usage, yesterday I used a little of the previous facial moisturizer which gave me very itchy skin again....The Argan Oil applied directly to clean skin had stopped constant itchy cheeks. I don't know if this was a coincidence but the pot of cream can go in the bin! The price seems reasonable compared to "High Street brands" pots of cream which aren't working for my skin any more....have to admit hitting my half century I think I'm classified as "mature" skin now! Hope it's not too late to reap its magic!

Quality oil. I am very pleased. Leaves mine my daughters hair shiny for weeks. We do not need to use any hair conditioners any more. This product does the job.

I'm so looking forward to using this virgin oil in my spells and potions! You guys have no idea how much trouble it is to harvest the body's natural oils! And even more so to find a virgin willing to donate their body. Buying it on amazon is soooo much easier!!!

I understand that some buyers are certain that the product they have bought from this supplier is an inferior oil and not Argan oil. I've bought many oils from Naissance, both carrier and essential oils, and they've all been the real thing, so it's difficult to know what the truth is. What I do know is hair oil is frequently marketed as Argan oil when in fact the actual oil only contains a small percentage of pure Argan oil. Also, pure Argan oils can smell slightly different to one another depending on how/to what degree they are processed. If buyers are comparing very different oils this might explain the problems they have encountered. I think it would be helpful for Naissance to offer an explanation so that consumers are not left feeling cheated. I will continue to use Naissance as I am impressed with the quality of their oils for the price and when I want 'high end' I use other suppliers.
