These are well built and not likely to break from wear and tear (i listen to mp3 player daily and tend to end up snagging earbud cables which does tend to reduce the lifespan of more delicate models) like my previous pairs of Philips SHE8000. The problem for me is that in comparison with the excellent sound quality of the SHE8000's, these really compare badly. Bass response is muffled and highs are tinny and 'artificial' sounding in comparison. I guess if you are busy exercising you won't be so focused on the sound, but it would be nice if sound was at least comparable to cheaper models by the same company.

If philips could combine the build of this model with the sound quality of the 8000's they'd have the perfect lower priced earbuds. As they are i'm glad i managed to get a pair for £15 as opposed to the listed price as that is all i would be happy with having enjoyed the sound quality of the others so much

Great sound and a well worth it just for the cable to the plug! It is more like a string so is less fragile than just a cable. Great bass and treble as well on a low volume. Highly recommended!

Nothing wrong with these earphones and I like the fact that are difficult to get tangled but the connection is very chunky and is thicker than my MP3 player which makes it look odd. Also, the picture showed an in-line volume control on the cord but this must be a different model as this is not present on mine. So knocking it down 1 star for lack of volume control and another for chunky connector.

I was very dissapointed in these headphones as I bought them to replace a pair of specked O'neils. These are used daily and I listen to a variety of music from classical to heavy metal and everything inbetween.
If you have an equalizer you will be able to make these sound ok. But for me the bottom end is too in your face and the top end gets muffled.

The sound quality is fine, but that doesn't mean anything if they're constantly falling out of your ears! Every time i turn my head with them in or do exercise, they fall out. And it's not the ear bud size, - I'm using the buds from an older pair which were perfect. It has to be the weight of them pulling them out. Very frustrating and nothing I can do

Exactly the same issues as Ms Charnley, in fact my wife bought me these phones and had replacements. Both had these issues
