This review is from: Flying Historic Helicopters (Collected Rotary Flight Test Articles, 2004 - 2011 Book 3) (Kindle Edition)
When most authors write about historic aircraft, they tend to focus on the historical aspect with loads of information about historic battles, races, and uses and often leaves pilots wondering about the personality of the aircraft itself. While this book does have some of the historic information, what set it apart is how it remedies that information gap and provides amazing detail about how the helicopters themselves handle in the air. Next time you read a story about the Westland Wasp out on an ASW mission or a Gazelle out hunting tanks, you will think back to what you learned in this book and feel like you are right there flying the helicopter.

This is a must read for any pilot who is curious about the flight characteristics of these historical aircraft!

Highly recommended!
