5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful account
A very well written account of Levi Brookfield heinous crimes, written with respect to all his victims families. I would recommend this book most strongly.

2.0 out of 5 stars shallow, detail-less, report-style writing
Nearly finished and I have no clearer idea of the character of Levi Bellfield than if I had just read the news reports. This is a "reporting" style narrative with no real depth, depicting the facts as they came to light and verbatim-style rendition of the prosecuting counsel's verdict. Repetitious style and date-hopping structure, and left you with many questions...

This book was a good read, I thought it was going to be a lot better than it was,it started slow and got better as it went on.Just glad this brute is off our streets, we will never know how Milly Dowler died.

Although informative, too much repetition, how many times can you say the same things in different ways. Rip Milly and the other poor women.

1.0 out of 5 stars Direct crib from the newspapers, 9 Dec 2011

This review is from: Predator (Paperback)
The author does not seem to have done any research at all or interviewed anyone to do with the case. He has merely written what was in the papers, and as if he needed to fill more pages he repeats the same things over and over again - one of the attempted murders is described in detail three times. The title of the book indicated that there would be more insight into Bellfield, whereas there is more information about his victims and their lives than about him and his.

2.0 out of 5 stars Repetative, 28 Oct 2011
This review is from: Predator (Paperback)
The book was so repetative and boring for the first half. Have read much better books before. It talks about too much about other's opinions and not factual enough.

Very concise research which was put over in an understandable way. Definitely not an easy read but very interesting if you are at all keen on what makes some people tick.

A really good read, the story moved along at a good pace,
but if you don't like to read true crime stories, warts and all,
then don't read this one. A book to demonstrate the advantage of
considerable research
