The third movie for the Bleach anime, Fade to Black is probably the best one so far. The movie sees Mayuri Kurotsuchi conducting an experiment when he is attacked by a mysterious figure that erases a part of his memories. While the experiment subsequently goes out of control, consuming a third of the Seireitei, the mysterious attackers kidnap Rukia and remove her from the memories of the entire Soul Society. Back in the world of the living, Ichigo is the only one who remembers Rukia and travels to the Soul Society to find out what is wrong only to discover that nobody remembers him either.

Fade to Black was a very entertaining movie and one that any Bleach fan would enjoy. While there are places that the plot may seem like an excuse to fight against the other Soul Reapers once again, it is nonetheless still quite interesting with some nice emotional moments as well as some nice action. The animation for the movie is very good and the voice acting for the English dub is generally on a par with that of the series proper (the Japanese version is included as well of course). The villains for the movie were nicely done and surprisingly sympathetic as well once you discover their motivations.

Fade to Black is a very good film and one that is well worth a full five stars.

This, in my opinion, is the best film yet. Some people might find the fact that the creators are trying to use old material of ichigo vs soul society but it works so well in this scenario that can easily be forgiven. One thing that always bothers me is "why is it always Rukia" but as they say, if it isn't broken, don't fix it! The storyline sees everyone forget who both Rukia and ichigo are due to two mysterious characters appearing claiming to know Rukia.
Thankfully the UK is beginning to get anime on blu ray as films such as this one deserve the quality, the drawing looks brilliant in HD. Could not recommend this anymore!

Bleach The Movie 3 : Fade To Black is a brilliant addition to the world of Bleach as we continue the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki the substitute Soul Reaper.

Fade To Black follows an attack on the Soul Society as a massive amount of soul energy goes haywire and starts to cover the Soul Society bit by bit as Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki is attacked by a duo that has the ability to erase her existence from everybody who has had contact with her expect for Ichigo Kurosaki. Ichigo Kurosaki senses that something is wrong and goes to the Soul Society to find Rukia and save her but as he entered the Soul Society everyone has forgotten him as well so will Ichigo be able to save Rukia and restore the Soul Society or will the Soul Society be consumed by this evil duo and its immense soul energy?

You will have to watch to find out as the story and adventure in this third Bleach film is something you will not be able to miss out on and you will never to want miss even a single second of this masterpiece.

The voice acting and animation in this movie is brilliant as you will want to watch the movie in both the english dub and original japanese with subtitles.

I would recommend this film to anyone who is a hardcore fan of the Bleach series or even if you are beginning to watch the Bleach series but do not watch this film if you have not yet watched the second series of the Bleach anime as you might get confused by all the new characters.

I would give this movie 5/5 and recommend to any anime fan. So buy this film and supoort the anime industry and the world of Bleach.

Being an avid watcher of the series Bleach I was excited when I heard there were movies released.

Not wanting to spoil the story plot this movie has all the major characters except for Bleach's human friends. It is predominatly set in the Soul Society. Nothing of this story is in the cannon for the series or manga. So can be watched in isolation.

Well worth a watch if you have any interest in Bleach at all.

I've been meaning to pick up this DVD for a long time, as I have the first two movies on DVD already, and when I saw the price drop of this I grabbed it in an instant!!
It's a must have for Bleach fans, and contains all the usual action with Ichigo and friends as the anime series does.
For collectors who want to grab all the movies like myself, I recommend it.
Such a great value.

very good movie. shows a different side to Rukia that isnt shown in the manga or anime series. however, if you do watch this movie or any bleach movie. i would recomend that you watch up to series 7 of the anime to know all the moves and abilities of each character
