if my teddy bear when I was younger could do what this one does i would be well chuffed. one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while and considering seth was the voice for ted which did kinda reminded me of peter in family guy the humour was still there without disappointment. there were definately things you could relate to in real life in terms of the guy who hires ted to work in the convenience store although it probably took it to the extreme but managers are a bit like that.
overall a really good movie that i would recommend anyone who likes comedies to see (by the way you don't need to like family guy to like this movie because I'm sure some people are thinking that).

*Please note this might contain spoilers.

One of the best movies I have ever watched, it was very funny and all started from a 8 year old with no friends wishing him alive and finally after getting a ultimatum from his girl friend he moves out after living with him for many decades and gets a job. After a fight they become friends again and he ends up leaving for his "owner" to be with his girlfriend only for her to wish him back to life at the end after him falling from a high distance, escaping from the teddy stealer's after all this funny, entertaining, exciting, nail biting action I would rate it 5 star and reccomend it to all mature audiences to see this film.

TED is without a doubt the funniest film since HORRIBLE BOSSES. It was just brilliant on every single level I can think of. Firstly, the storyline was tear-jerkingly funny and offensive, but it also had emotional depth and believable characters. The acting was also impeccable, with Seth Macfarlane providing a very Peter Griffin-like voice. I loved the references to the 80's and to FAMILY GUY. The laughs and gags were so funny they almost had me crying. Some failed, others were the funniest things I've seen in years. I did really like how inbetween the rudeness and crudeness, there was some genuine sweetness and heart. As I said, perfect on every level. 10/10

There were a number of times particularly during the first half of the film when I thought that 'Ted' was nothing more than a poor excuse for Mark Whalberg to star alongside an obnoxiously mouthy soft toy. Of course the film does exactly as it says on the tin so it's not like I was in a position to moan about either the lack of depth or scenes that will perhaps stay with you forever (except perhaps for the Checkout/hand wash scene).

Ted delivers what it promises to do, a silly and fairly one dimensional 'buddy movie' saved perhaps by the inclusion of Sam G.Jones (Flash Gordon to the unfamiliar).

A few of the guys at work were talking about this great film and how funny it was. Having seen the trailers I thought I would give it a miss. That would have been a huge mistake! My way smarter than me cousin sent me a text so I rented it. If you ever need cheering up watch this film I cried laughing. Some of the humour is a touch age dependant I guess the director is targeting parents of an age to explain to their older kids. Whilst not giving anything away about the film I purchased the most expensive version you can buy of the movie. I think that is the best recommendation I can give.

Having read a few reviews on Amzaon and love films, quick a varied mix of comments from "crap, rude, disgusting, funnest film ever, great". makes you wonder if you're going to enjoy this film. So you think we'll watch 20-30 minutes and see how it goes.
Get over the first 10 or so minutes when I could easily turned it off and you're into politically incorrect humur which I'd thought had been stamped out, but hurray, it hasn't been. Flash Gordon making an entrance, great.
Not for everyone, read some really low reviews then watch, it's much better than they'd have you believe.

One of the funniest films you'll see if you don't mind bad language and toilet humour....and sex references, and Family Guy....

Mark Wahlberg is on form and good at delivering some comedy in this film alongside Ted (Seth McFarlane) and the duo will have you laughing from start to finish. Mila Kunis also supports the 2 main characters and adds the eye candy for the men out there. For most of the film though you will be laughing at the jokes, references and visual humour. There's also a treat for fans of Flash Gordon...

If you like Family Guy you'll love this.

I was looking forward to watching this film, so maybe I had geared myself up for something special,
sadly I was to be disappointed, it started off OK, but as it progressed I found it getting very crude
& so stupid it became unwatchable.

I accept that half the planet like the film, but it was not for me, maybe you need to be drunk to watch it?
I must say that I turned it off about half way,as it was winding me up, so maybe I missed something?

If you buy a copy I hope you find it enjoyable, but it's not to everybody's taste.

It is surprising that the character of Ted has not yet made the cult status of Stewie, the English child genius baby hell bent on world domination. Ted is equally profound in his absolute out of control hedonism and full store of one liners. The interaction between ted, friend and girlfriend of friend is amazing, seamless and the film entire is a laugh a minute. If life seems dull, or there is just one of those days on the table, get this by whatever means and forget the woes of the moment. Classic, modern, rude and fantastic.
