Here's a list of the episodes with a brief summary:

1. Fiery Flynn - Flynn needs to rescue a blue engine, but rushes off before he hears which blue engine is in danger!
2. James to the Rescue - James is the rescue engine with Toby. James ignores Toby and then runs into trouble!
3. Edward the Hero - Edward is the rescue engine today and he wants to be a hero just like Harold the Helicopter.
4. Stop That Bus! - Thomas takes Bertie for a tour when the Bertie is supposed to be picking up Dowager Hatt!

In between episodes, Driver Perkins is preparing for a magic show.

Bonus features come in the form of a Down at the Station segment which teaches children the importance of a level crossing on a real steam railway. There are also two "Guess Who?" puzzles featuring James and Edward. Like the recent Thomas & Friends - Up, Up and Away! (2012) [DVD], this release contains no sing-along songs.

The episodes are the best episodes from the very poor fifteenth season, so this DVD is worth getting. Flynn is a popular new fire engine character and he is the main character in the first episode. James to the Rescue features one of the most spectacular crashes in the CGI-era which will delight children who are fans of the accidents. Edward the Hero is kind of boring and repetitive, but kids will enjoy it I'm sure. Stop That Bus! is the best episode on this release in my opinion as it gives classic character Bertie the Bus a lead role.

I would highly recommend this DVD. Kids should enjoy watching it again and again and again...

Got this for my son for just shy of £4. Contains 4 episodes from a newer series.

Best part was the DVD comes with a small activity booklet. It's themed around Blue Mountain Mystery and has a story and an eye spy game.

For £4 I'm really happy.

The right level of simple humour and lessons learnt. Michael Angelis's narration is a pleasure to listen to and the graphics help small children to understand the story even if they can't yet grasp all the words. We adults secretly enjoy it too.

Some strange whittering actor has 'filler' parts before each episode I assume to be some kind of station master - if you skip past those bits the stories are good and my son (age 2) loves them.

big hit with my special needs child, he loves it. I like the voice of Michael Angelis too, it is just right for stories about steam trains
