5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing sequel,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)The second installment in the Witching Pen Novellas, an adult paranormal romance trilogy.
The first book, The Witching Pen, was amazing but this book just stepped onto a whole other level. I was instantly hooked from the first page, and wasn't going anywhere until I finished it. Each reader is in for a roller coaster of a ride, and a few shocks along the way.
One of the best things about this series is how there are many main characters, who all have their part to play and the reader learns more about each one over time. There is so much going on but the reader never feels overwhelmed, just completely engrossed as all the pieces start to fit together.
This book got my pulse racing a few times, and those scenes were essential to the story, but written so well it didn't seem wrong or offensive.
I am now addicted to this series, and can't wait to get stuck into The Demon Bride later tonight (which thankfully has already been released), though then have to wait until next year for the spin-off novel :(
Contains sexual content and some violence, therefore only suitable for the older YA reader.
I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Read!,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)Review 6******
This is the second book in the Witching Pen Novellas, and I thoroughly loved this book!
Elizabeth May is an enigma. She cannot remember her life or why she would want to kill herself. Confused, she struggles to remember something from her life. She is a fantastically strong character, amnesia not withstanding. She knows something is not right, but doesn't know what.
Pueblo is a shape-shifting demon, who is blood bonded to Amy, a witch. He is a typical Alpha male. He is strong, handsome and terrified that he won't find Amy. I love his character! If he can't be my boyfriend, I would certainly love him to be my big brother! Even though he is a half demon, not all demons are bad, and he is definitely one of the good guys.
This is a romance story that captured my imagination, and kept me glued to the pages with the mystery of Amy's disappearance, and Elizabeth's amnesia. However, there were other characters in this tale that have a little side story of their own in this book.
A word of warning. This book does have some sexually explicit and violent scenes that are not for those of a nervous disposition.
There is a twist in this tale that surprised me, because I never saw it coming! If you are looking for a fantastic paranormal romance, then I highly recommend this book and series. I am now looking forward to reading the next story! Dianna Hardy is fast becoming one of my favourite authors, and I will be keeping my eye out for more of her books in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Sand of Time" Review by Ninfa from Bookaholics Book Club,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)"The Sands of Time" (Adult Paranormal Romance)
by Dianna Hardy
Elizabeth cannot for the life of her remember anything about her past, but vivid dreams plague her night and day, dreams of such power she can't resist them.
When Amy suddenly disappears, Pueblo, her blood bonded Demon is desperate to find her, but he can't feel her anymore on this plane of reality.
With the help of Amy's friends, Pueblo will have to tear the barriers of time and space down to find the woman that has changed his existence.
But there are dangerous secrets and surprising revelations on the way that threaten to destroy everything both Amy and Pueblo have.
And what is Elizabeth's role in all this?
Oh-My-God this book is sooo good it should be a sin!
Being a big fan of "The Witching Pen", the first novella in the series, I've been eagerly awaiting the moment I could get my hands on this sequel, and boy was I rewarded!
I was lucky enough to be offered an exclusive ARC copy of "The Sands of Time" and I must say this book really surpassed my expectations.
The plot is twisted and keeps you guessing until the last minute (not to mention finishes on a cliffhanger that will make you scream for the third book...I know I did...), but it's so clearly laid out and written so well it's a pleasure to follow the story.
Written from the perspective of different characters, there are several pieces to this fantastic puzzle, and they all come together beautifully.
The first book gave us some closure on Elena and Karl's story, and this second book is more focussed on Amy and Pueblo and their own secrets and desires.
We learn more about the Demonology and History that gives us the wonderful background for Amy and Pueblo's world, and we also explore more of the secondary characters that I'm sure we'll get to know even better in the next novella, "The Demon Bride".
I love Mary and Gwain and can't wait to learn more about them, but from the first book I knew Amy would always be my favourite, she's tongue-in-cheek funny, strong and isn't afraid to tell it like it is, although she still keeps a certain innocence and vulnerability which make her the perfect heroin.
Knowing this was her book I knew the story would be great fun, and I was right.
There are some strong sexual scenes and some elements of violence in this book, all tastefully written, that were really intense and emotional and had me getting up at 4.30 am to find out what happened next as I couldn't get the characters out of my head (the mark of a great story in my opinion!).
So all in all: Romance, Action, Hot and steamy scenes and a Paranormal element that is fresh and original.
You'll love it if you like: Anya Bast, Gena Showalter and Paranormal Romance in general.
Also by the author: "The Witching Pen" (first book in "The Witching Pen" Novellas) and coming soon, book #3 "The Demon Bride".

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeping you hooked,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)Well, the story begins to unfold a little more in book two of The Sands of Time, and we're introduced to a new character . . . or is she a new character?
If you've read book one then you will kinda know who Elizabeth is in this book, but at the same time find yourself asking, "what on earth is going on?" Which is a good thing, because naturally you want to find out, and although I loved this book and my interest was spiking in regards to Gwain and Mary, and I was still very interested in what was going on with Elena and Karl, I really wanted to know what the deal was with Elizabeth/Amy. . . And my god, I didn't expect that.
One presumes she's had her memory messed with and is just being lied to, but the truth - as sad as it actually is - is just so much more better, and at the same time, boggling. At first you dislike this man, Paul, who you feel is lying to her, but then, sympathy. So much sympathy. And Pueblo, oh, he is dishy and the desert scene . . . yum.
I loved the reincarnation angle to this book. The deeper understanding and explanation of soul bonding and blood bounding and how it works. I was extremely impressed with how Dianna made these characters histories interlink and how it all played out. I really wasn't expecting it.
And then the end of this book, a little violent, but sexy and a little touching and then . . . cliff hanger. Lucky for me, I bought all the books in one go so I could start the next book, "The Demon Bride" straight away. ;-P
All in all, fabulous book. You can slowly start to see how everything is tied up, and why some of the characters are the way they are and have done what they have. Fantastic continuation from the events that began in book one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hooked AGAIN!!,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen Novellas)Oh My Lord!
There are countless reviews on how great the book is, and what it is about, but I just wanted to say a few things
1) AGAIN, you HAVE to read this book! NOW
2) I was so desperate to read it all in 1 day, but I hate that feeling when you are getting to the end of a book and you are so engrossed that you don't want it to end, I could read this book forever.
so I held off and let the joy of the book last 3 whole days.
3) When you buy the 3rd book before you have finished the 2nd is a sure sign that its a bloody great book.
4) I bought the 3rd book at like 1:30 AM, as I had to make sure I had it. READY and waiting
5) I have only felt this way about 2 other series before, so I am already gutted that I have started reading the 3rd book, and then that's it.
6) I can't believe this book is by a British Author, but before anyone leaves any comments, there has only been a couple, (out of thousands of books I have read) that I have enjoyed by a British Author. So I have always shied away from them. So glad I didn't know this until I started reading it!
7) Although I have started the 3rd book, I am gutted. really gutted that this may be it. I think there is a spin off though, so I will be getting that later.
8) This is a book that I know I will read again and again, and no doubt read things that I have forgot!
5.0 out of 5 stars get this !!,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)I reviewed the prequel to this The Witching Pen which is a good place to start in this series but this novella continues on a different level and keeps you on edge even thinking should i read the next page or not, the expectations are exquisite and fulfil even if a bit tooo naughty at times (is there such a thing!!) parts were very sexy, parts were funny, i cant get the 'crusty loincloths drying on the radiator' scenario out of my mind, made me laugh out loud, i have read alot of books sometimes i think too many but when i come across an author like this i love it, i am not a great lover of novellas and dont often download them but so glad i did, they are underpriced at £3.55 for the set of three, just for the great time they gave me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)The second book in the Witching Pen Novellas I was instantly hooked on this book. At first I thought it was a totally different
series from the last book, but soon the pieces fell into place and the characters came out. I can see Dianna's talent growing stronger with each book she puts out. This story was so intense and deep that I was glued to my couch until I had finished. Great job and a book well worth reading.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, can't wait for book 3,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)Ebook: The Sands of Time (The Witching Pen Novella's)
Author: Dianna Hardy

I was given this by the author for an honest review
Summary: Seven days ago, Elizabeth May tried to commit suicide. She was found by Paul, her husband, who took her under his wing and back to their home. But the attempted suicide is not Elizabeth's main problem - Elizabeth can't remember who she is, or a single thing about her life beyond the past week.
Plagued by nightmares about a familiar black panther, and a terrifying snow leopard, she is convinced that the dreams are trying to show her something important, and is determined to regain her memories, one way or another.
Meanwhile, Pueblo - the demon blood-bonded to the witch, Amy - is going insane trying to find her. Amy disappeared one week ago, and it seems not even their bond is strong enough to penetrate whatever magic hides her.
As Pueblo enlists the help of angels and demons alike, Elizabeth begins to piece together parts of her forgotten life. But what she uncovers may just have her wanting to turn away from who she really is ... for good.
I liked this one a lot, we got to meet the same characters as in the first book, but now we were focused on Amy & Pueblo, my favourite characters from book 1, I love the bond that each couple seems to have, The author has caught exactly how I would imagine that bond to be like, The plot line was again a work of genius, just like the first one, I loved it so much I have the next book, The Demon Bride on my TBR list, Highly recommend to anyone after a fantastic love story, 5/5
5.0 out of 5 stars Adult Paranormal Romance,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)I was given an e-copy in exchange for my honest review.
This is the second installment to The Witching Pen Novellas. The story starts around seven days after Amy goes missing. Pueblo is doing everything he can to find her.Even with their blood bond, he isn't able to "feel" her. Along with dealing with the hunt for Amy, Pueblo is also fighting with himself over the truth that he has kept from everyone. What him and Amy really are. This is also around the same time that Paul finds out his wife, Elizabeth May, has tried to commit suicide and has also lost her memory. Karl and Elena are still trying to adapt to their new lives. Mary is having painful nightmares, and Gwain maybe the only one that can save her from herself.
If you loved book one, you haven't seen anything yet! This installment is full of suspense, twists, turns, passion, and hatred. It will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I can't wait to read the next installment.
ADULT PARANORMAL ROMANCE. CONTAINS ADULT SITUATIONS AND CONTENT!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite so far!!!,
This review is from: The Sands Of Time (The Witching Pen series) (Kindle Edition)Once again the wondrous mind of Author Dianna Hardy has turned out a phenomenal book, in this gem "The Sands of Time" (this one so far is my favorite in the series) book #2 in The Witching Pen Novellas!!! I would personally truly love for this novella to become a full length book, actually it would be real nice that they all be combined together. *flutterz wingz n nods head*
The Sands of Time picks right up where book #1 The Witching Pen left off.
Amy who is a witch/shifter has been kidnapped by Elena's grandfather, Etienne. He sends Amy to the year 1956 - Pueblo who is blood bond to Amy is searching desperately for her, but he can't "feel" her anymore !!! Not in HIS space in time...
With the help of Amy's friends: Elena, Mary, Karl and Gwain they are doing everything to save her.
I'm trying not to give to much away about the story, which is hard for me especially with this novella, because it is sooooo good.
But, I will tell you this, The Sands of Time is not just about one main character, nope there are several!! I counted 6. Some may say more or less. Each person or couple in this case have their own story going on. Each story vital to the complete package that makes up this novella. So much depth.
Pueblo - Shanka demon and human shifter
Amy - Shifter and witch
Gwain - Angel
Mary - ummm, not sure yet :-/
Karl - Angel and human
Elena - Witch (most powerful) and Shanka demon
The Sands of Time has pretty much a taste for everyone's ideal read, you'll find shifters, angels, witches, demons, wicked spells, portals, time travel and of course love and betrayal. (yep, I think that just about course it all) :-D
** This book does have some sexually explicit scenes ** but to me, without them this novella just wouldn't be the same.
I highly recommend The Sands of Time as a spectacular paranormal romance read!!!
The Witching Pen Novellas:
The Witching Pen
The Sands of Time
The Demon Bride (Can`t wait of this one)
Recommend: Adult (due to some scenes)
Rating: 5/5 angel stars
