Brilliant concept, chopping board, strainer, general surface and occasional pan-keeper-warmer. The only thing I'm annoyed by is the fact that it doesn't attach flush to the windshield when i pack it away, it sits awkwardly on top of the packed up trangia (under the frying pan) and doesn't clip on or sit nicely, means the trangia is about a cm taller than it used to be.. Maybe a faulty one?

Otherwise brilliant idea, pasta and even rice is a breeze to strain, and chopping veg or anything really, sparing my frying pan more torture.

Neat bit of kit. Versatile - use as a base for your cooker on uneven or soft ground; use it to drain foods or just keep them covered while simmering to avoid dust and insects getting in! Pretty tough too.

Brilliant addition to any trangia cooker.
Lid, chopping board, strainer etc etc.
Weighs almost nothing but increases the utility and versatility of what is already a great all round cook set.
Try it for yourself!

I have used a Trangia cooker for many years now, and picked up one of these when browsing in a camping shop. It's a well thought out, multi-function piece of kit.
Uses:
Lid for pans (reduce fuel use, and keep food hot)
Base for storm cooker (useful on grass or uneven ground)
Chopping Board
Colander/draining

It has a neat little slot which lets you lift the pans off with the handle, without uncovering them.
It stores neatly inside the frying pan when not in use, and prevents the non-stickcoating from getting scratched by the other pans.

So far I have used it a couple of times and it has performed well - and I have finally got rid of the rather tatty piece of polythene that is supplied with the frying pan to stop it from getting scratched! I can see this as a really useful addition to any Trangia set.

In an ideal world you would get one of these included with every trangia, but you don't so buy one

Every scout/DofE participant has burned or scolded themselves whilst trying to drain pasta in the field. This makes that problem non existant, and also makes a brilliant chopping board. It also protects the non-stick coating of your frying pan.

Got this unsure if I'd use it
But it's a cool item , many uses
Lid , chopping board , plate , strainer , something to put hot pan on, and when packed in trangia stops non stick pan scratching

Bought to complement a Trangia 25 kit. Probably a bit pricy for what is basically a polypropylene disk, but is actually incredibly helpful to have around when using a Trangia! You can't use it as a pot lid whilst cooking (but an aluminium lid that fits both 25 pans is available separately, why? It's called something like the Universal Pot Lid for 25 series, normally listed with the Tundra kit, but fits fine in the Trangia 25.set-up), but is handy as a cover once off the heat. The 'strainer' function is effective & invaluable, and it makes for a pretty robust chopping board as well, even if being a bit heavy handed with a Mora.
A surprisingly efficient frisbee to boot.
All in all a worthwhile addition if you already have a Trangia, or are thinking of getting one. Just ensure you order the correct size, as they are available for the 27 (smal) and the 25 (larger).
