The lights are bright but they do not fit presta valves as advertised. One arrived broken but fir the price it's not worth the refund hassle.

I'd like to offer some advice to address the feedback of this product.

1. Slow delivery:
Check the sellers location: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B006V1T5IK/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Most are Hong Kong or China which can take weeks. For a little extra you can purchase from a UK seller.

2. Presta/Adapter:
It appears that some people are getting adapters and others are not. This could be due to either the colour or the seller.
I purchased a blue set and it came with a black plastic adapter to convert Presta to Schrader valve.

3. Light Problems:
There could be a spacing problem between the batteries and the light component so I recommend the following two ideas:
Each light comes with 3 batteries but I found that if there are 4 batteries in the light then it responds better.
Alternatively I have had success using a combination of batteries: 1x 386 (AG12), 2x 389 (AG10).

Sometimes the batteries are too tight to the light component. I recommend the following three ideas:
Loosen the unit (light and bottom) slightly.
unscrew the light from the valve slightly. I found that the Presta valve was pushing on the batteries from the bottom.
Alternatively use the two ideas above. I found 4 batteries worked on 1 light but not great on the other.

To eliminate any other causes for the light problem, try new batteries.

The batteries are 389/389A (AG10) which can be purchased from most pound shops.

Cheap plastic nut snapped as I tried to screw it onto the tyre valve so obviously that's a main flaw.Nothing more to say.

DO NOT BUY THIS Product if you're aiming to attach it to Presta Valves (standard fitting for most bicycles), the supplied fitting DOES NOT fit Presta valves, what's worse is the cost of the product is less than that of the postage so there's no point sending it back. Now you just have a couple of lights with nothing to connect them too..... So angry, I've been swindled and there's NOTHING I can do about it.

I bought these for my grandsons bike . They really do light up the wheels so motorists can see them. A very good safety feature for a cheap price.

I bought six of these to try...

Two worked and are very good. Two I had to dismantle to get to work and two didn’t work at all.

I purchased as the description suggested they are suitable for Presta valves. Only one (!) was supplied with what I think was an adaptor but resembled a chrome plated chunk of plastic with what looked like a thread down the middle of it. General quality is very poor.

Trying to get the non working lights working you realise how poor quality these are. The chrome plating is used as the conductor between the batteries and the LED. On two units the chrome plating was non existent therefore unable to provide any means on continuity for power. The two units I managed to get working work after a fashion. The "switch" is a simple spring with a contact through the middle and makes contact when the wheel is moving by centrifugal force. one of the soldered joints was loose and whilst I had the iron out repairing that, I also finished soldering the other remaining joints that hadn’t been finished. I managed to get the two working but were not reliable enough to use.

You cant be too critical as for the price they are very good...when they work. Getting them to work is the challenge.

2 stars as when they work they are good...but the quality is really very poor.

The lights are bright and movement sensitive which is great but they are not compatible with my tyre valves despite claiming to be in the description which is disappointing.

Item took a little while to arrive but it did eventually turn up. It screws onto the wheel nicely attaching as a dust cap and is motion activated so only lights up when the bike is moving. Very bright light makes me much more visible although the only problem is there is a very loose connection so if you over or under tighten the light it won't work. I've had to undo it slightly as tightening it fully causes it to not light up at all. Very disappointed about that but when it does work it's a great little light.

Cheap and cheerful item - the quality build is as expected at this price point. Had a close call with a driver recently which prompted me to finally purchase these lights; they are bright, very easy to fit and provides me with a little more peace of mind that drivers pulling out have a greater chance of seeing me from the side.

Note for those with non-working lights: -

Initially one of the lights did not work but it started working once I realised that the clear plastic tube was screwed on too tight which was hindering the motion detector [the tiny black tube with a spring inside] beneath that senses movement and activates the light. Ensuring there was sufficient space for this component to move/vibrate worked for me. Hope that makes sense. Superglued the loose tube and good to go!

So between my 3 lights, reflective jacket, reflective spokes (highly recommended), and these suckers, I am lit up like a Christmas tree from Tron.

The plastic connector is quite flimsy and took a bit of fiddling to get them working (re-inserting supplied batteries). I'm not sure how water resistant they'll be, but they are on the bike and working well for now. I actually received three lights (one pack of two and one single), so I have a spare. They come on when the bike is in motion, preserving battery life and they are work as I intended which was to increase visibility to drivers from the side, especially when passing junctions. I have had someone drive straight into me from a side road when I was on the main road and the lights do seem to provide better visibility with drivers stopping further back from the junction. I went for the blue lights, which due to the normal use by emergency response vehicles, should trigger a quicker response from drivers, even if subliminally. Great for the price. And for the geek in me, I can pretend I'm on a Tron-style light-cycle ;-)
