I bought this game despite all the bad reviews as I remembered there were a few bad reviews about GRAW2 yet I loved that game. Well, on the whole, I'd have to say the negative reviews are bang on! This is not what I call a FPS. You're kind of hovering above yourself, a bit like Full Spectrum Warrior, and there was no mention of that in the description. I just took it for granted that you'd be looking down the gunsight like the others. Why change that now? Plus the movie scene stuff is a tad too heavy. I agree that COD is a lot of fun but why does everybody have to copy it? The best part about GRAW is the difficulty level. The fact that you really do have to fight your way to a position to complete your mission. OK, the graphics are good but that's about it. I nearly gave up after being instructed to install 4 different patches and you are made to go online and register, sigining in every time you want to play. I hate that kind of thing. I stopped playing the Steam games because of all the messing around involved. It took me nearly 3 hours to get it up and running! I might give it another go one day when I'm bored but I'm not holding out much hope. If the makers actually read the feedback on their products then please take heed and put it back the way it was. You had a good thing going there!

I don't need to say how horribly unfinished this game is because i think that has been done in every other review for this game. I ignored the warnings because of how long I've been waiting for this game, do not do what i did, because it is depressing when you get this game after a long anticipated wait and find out that ubisoft have in actual fact released a technical mess. Multiplayer, forget about it, it's the reason i bought this game and now the reason why i want my money back and shouting at customer support.
Your better off downloading Ghost Recon Online a free to play game that is much better made if you just want to play multiplayer and you should have no problem getting into a game and staying in it, oh and it doesn't crash randomly.

HEED THESE WARNINGS!

not the best tom clancy game and probably the worst ghost recon since the the 1st person ones, it has only the GR environment (characters and setting) and non of the charm or difficulty using new and charisma-less lead characters which you play as having no back story or any reason to care about them.
This would be a good game due to the story and mechanics but it does not live up to the GR title so try not to think of it as ghost recon and you should enjoy it.

My friends and I were really excited about this one arriving, having played Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior 2 many, many times as co-op. When we had finally got the game installed and patched with 500mb of fixes, registered on the pointless and inconvenient UPlay system, and started up we became rapidly frustrated. We could only ever get 2 of 3 players to appear online in a squad, despite all being online in the accompanying Uplay interface. The game simply crashed when we tried to start a co-op campaign with two players. No problems playing against random strangers, but then we didn't buy 3 copies just to be repeatedly killed by teenagers.

All three of us are very experienced computer users, one of us is a programmer and all of us have been playing lan or online games since they were invented. We know what we are doing and how to fix things when they don't work. It is astounding that a company can release a product where one of the main selling points simply does not work.

Don't buy this for co-op. Single play might be alright once you get past all the damn film sequences. It's probably fun for random online play, but reportedly buggy there.

Ubisoft - get a grip!

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This game is virtually impossible to play most of the time. It had lots of bugs when it first came out and Ubisoft have sorted some of them out but it is still riddled with them. The game freezes for 2 to 3 minutes on regular basis. The words go out of sinc. If you can get to the end of the game when the credits come up, you will see hundreds of names come up who were involved in the making of this game, it goes on for about 15 minutes. Its a shame Ubisoft did,nt put that many people to solve these problems, after all, the game has been out for months now. Ubisoft have had your money, so you dont matter anymore. Ubisoft will not be getting my hard earned money anymore and i hope you all do the same.
Hope this has been helpful.

I will make this short and bitter, this is not part of the Ghost recon franchise, its Gears of war with different skin, yes the game look nice, the game is ok but it feels like a fair ground duck shooter, no tactics at all no planing moves for your AI, oh if you play co-op with 1 or more AI don't expect stealth kills much, once you've opened up, no marking for co-op players (don't say the press Q to tag, that's not what i meant, the whole feel is just no that of a PC game this is a console port yet again killing of what was a good series of games.

The Guerrilla mode, nice name for a crappy wave after wave mode another joy of consoles, where the hell is the terrorist hunt, there is so many things wrong with this game.

This game has been dumbed down for the Xbox and other platforms like it, I can not tell you the hate I have for this, my advice is stay away from it if you loved the previous games, DON'T preorder console to PC ports it's a waste of your money and time

Thank you UBI for killing games. you EA should join forces its what your best
I give this a -10/10
I would say regards, but i have none

Where to start..

This game is a prime example of an extremely poor attempt at porting a game from Consoles to PC. The graphics are sub par, and that would be fair enough IF it would run easily on modern PC's, but it really.. really does not. I run a very high end system capable of maxing out the most graphically intensive games out there, such as Battlefield 3, whilst achieving 60+ frames per second - but to even get near that figure on Future Soldier, I have to play in DX9, with all settings turned down to Medium and have all extras like Ambient Occlusion and Parallax mapping turned off. That is ridiculous - I didnt spend £1200+ on my PC to run a game poorer than £200 8 year old console.

Not only is the optimisation bad, but there are hints of Console plague to be found all over, for example 'Press LB' can be found bang in the middle of the screen whilst playing 100% of the time and the Xbox Quadrant ring can be seen when in a party with friends.

The game is also riddled with Crash to Desktop errors and connection issues making it very frustrating to play.

AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS.

Be aware that there appears to be a lot of bugs with this game right now - with future updates the Developers may make improvements. At the moment I get constant disconnects from online games, there's an annoying lag between mouse input & the movement on screen, and the graphics performance is poor even on relatively low settings (this is on a Dell Precision laptop I happily use to play Battlefield 3). Check the official forums, it's full of unhappy customers, if I could get a refund on this I would! 1 Star product, spend your money on something else, I wish I had.

As a long time fan of the Ghost Recon series, I have been eagerly anticipating the release of future soldier ever since the first live action trailer came out last year.

Having played the game for a 25 hours so far, I can tell you is it one of the most enormously frustrating gaming experiences I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

For example, in the last mission I played, enemy soldiers spawned before my eyes, despite my having checked the area ahead of me extensively with the drone gizmo.

How is it possible to be stealthy when enemies suddenly spawn around you in an area you have thoroughly checked and discovered to be empty?!

The alarm went off and all my work getting through the preceding area was undone. And this is a real game killer - there is no possibility to save or quick save at all.

So if you do get seen by randomly spawning enemies who previously didn't exist, you have to go right back to the start of the level - again and again and again and again - which is frustrating to the point of being stress inducing!

Adam
