5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent trilogy for the money
Really enjoyed this trilogy - Easy reading with some good threads and great characterization.

It's not a work of literary magic but it is a good read none-the-less, it is refreshingly gripping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Same crimes different world., 21 April 2012

Lt Katalina Wimple an augmented human who is driven to protect the weak and innocent thanks to her harrowing childhood at the hands of her father is drawn into an adventure in Dark Earth at the behest of the beautiful and talented Skyler (Companion, whore, astute woman) whose brother a mercenary has been declared dead but she is convinced he still lives. Taking a break from her police duties Kat along with Natalie (girlfriend/best friend) and Skyler and armed to the teeth cross into Dark Earth and explore the alternate world with it's native american/mayan derived cultures and revelation is given and magic/spirituality come to the fore as the three women face down wonders and horrors.

Jason has continued the adventures of the hard as nails wonder of modern technology Kat Wimple (Bullet proof boobs amongst other things) in an adventure that mixes hardcore armed combat alongside the spirit worlds of the native american and mayan cultures. The blending works very well even though their travels to and from seemed a trifle too easy but I guess that would be a much bigger story and may not have improve the reading experience anyway. Traitor is good fun and not to demanding with a nice mix of girls kicking ass, mythology, spirituality and even a little sex thrown where appropriate. The story takes place not long after the events in the first book of the series (The Lost Girls) and the third book "Wolfgirl" is already out.

Like the first book in the series this is a really good fantasy thriller. Once you start reading it's hard to put it down.

Good book but it was sometimes like reading a child's fairy tale book. Not sure if it's my type of read

Having read, and enjoyed, the first in the series. I was interested to try this second book.
This is more of a fantasy offering than the first story and I found it quite enjoyable
