If you're looking for a basic, user-friendly guide to beekeeping this book does the job as well as most on the market, and it's very reasonably priced. The tone of the text chimes with current concerns for the welfare of bees and the desire to attract them back into our gardens. As well as offering a comprehensive description of bee behaviour and the keeper's clothing and equipment, it describes how to manage and care for bees from season to season, with tips on the best plants to grow and suggestions for checklists and beekeeping records.
And if you like your books to look good this one won't disappoint.
