This review is from: Andy Walks With Me: Surviving "FATHER" Was a Daily Task To Hard For Leroy To Handle On His Own So He Created Andy! (True Story of Child Abuse). (Kindle Edition)
This was an account of a man who had lost some memories from his adult life. He remembered his childhood well, which was filled with the horrors of an abusive father but a large chunk of his adulthood was missing.

The book skips between recent years and childhood years quite a lot and then goes on to fill in some of the middle years. This made it a little confusing at first especially with the change of names of the boy/man concerned. However, it all comes together by the end and we are given hints as to why the memories have been subdued.

The childhood abuse is quite horrific, obviously the father was a madman and should have been locked up, but he had religion behind him, a wife who went along with his sadistic antics out of fear and children who were too young to fight back.

A few spelling mistakes, but worth a read if you are able to ignore that side of it.
