Sadly cut short by the death of star Elisabeth Sladen this last series of THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES is a mixed bag to be sure, but at its best is up there at the height of the show. The story about Clyde becoming a pariah and street kids going missing is the show at its very best, tackling kids' fears through science fiction. It's scary for kids and thought-provoking for adults.

If you buy this for no other reason then the farewell tribute to the lovely Lis Sladen is worth the price alone. Anyone who grew up with her, either on DOCTOR WHO or THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES, prepare to shed tears.

Enjoyable final series of SJA. Sadly only 3 episodes long :(. Would have been nice to have a few more extras like the series 4 blu ray or even could have included K9 and company as a final tribute to Lis.

Never let it be said that when Doctor Who returned in 2005 that it couldn't be the first time that a spin-off would be made and be so popular.

Elisabeth Sladen loved the role of Sarah Jane Smith and watching this now will make you love her as though she hadn't already left us.

I am proud to own this and will never forget Liz. She will never be missed to me.

Long live Elisabeth Sladen.

I cried when i heard she died, ibe never cried at the news any of my family have died but this touched a huge nerve.having met 7 different people who have played doctor who i was gutted to think id never meet liz and just as gutted the show would never be the same again.never for a second did i think. It would end just as they ruined then ended torchwood.a kids, family and adult show all crossing over in one universe for a couple of years was the most exciting thing on tv.and sarah jane was the best of them all.she is the best companion ever and would have stayed until she died however long she lived.the fact they ended the whole thing probably made her turn in her grave, from magazines, interviews, live talks etc of other dr who universe staff actors etc ,she was the nicest most genuine person to ever work in tv or even to be on this earth.to think all those staff and especially the kids as main characters all losing their jobs probably upset her more than knowing she was dying.she would have wanted the show to continue just like the girl to the left of her on the photo (who btw has the most amazing hugs ever) said she would have loved if the kids took oer and wrote sarahs death into the actual story.apparently the writers thought it was disrespectful but anyone with common sense tells you liz was filming just days before she died ,knowing she was dying, she wanted as many episodes made as possible.if they carried on without her it would have been an honour in her memory.many writers, producers and actors made the show but it was liz's show,no other companion could have set up such a unique yet similar world as the sarah jane universe, for it to continue would have meant so much to her and to fans.sadly knowing its now ended ive never watched her final series, nor have i watched any other episodes since her death as its just too sad.but for any adventure, sci fi,fiction fan or specific dr who fan,if youve never seen sja adventures, well WHY,its far better than dr who once david tennant left and has some incredible stories and monsters.every episode is better than the last and you must buy all 4 or 5 full series if possible, and if you havent already for some reason buy the david tennant dr who series she briefly appears in aswell as some tom baker dr who ,although shes so young ,her personality wasnt fully glowing back then, but the potential was there from day one.liz sladen a must buy
