If you fancy a change from Hillsongs/Kingdom music, buy this! Great worshipful music with an injection of joyful Irish ingenuity and originality. 'Build Your Kingdom' is probably the best track and is sung in our Church with gusto, but the other tracks are really good, from quiet contemplation, to belting praise. A really original and refreshing production. I'd be interested to know the origin of the groups' name though!!

If you like Mumford and Sons, then this album will knock your socks off. It's foot-stomping in places while tender in others. A breath of fresh air with a return to folk roots, yet cutting edge with the freshness of the lyric.

Sounds like mumford and sons meets coldplay meets arcade fire, only with much more fun thrown in. Lyrical exploration, explanation amd exclaimation of the wonder of Jesus.

You won't regret it - this CD is just what I need when i need a bit of encouragement or to set my mind upon God when I lose focus. The lyrics are inspirational and the music style is both cheerful and beautiful. They kind of sound like Mumford and sons...only a lot more joyful :)

If you like Fleet Foxes and Mumford and Son with a hope filled, clear Jesus centered message, then this album will fit the bill. I can't stop myself singing along...

I WAS ONLY RECENTLY INTRODUCED TO THE REND COLLECTIVE EXPERIMENT CDS. THIS IS AN IRISH BAND, NO BIG HYPE ALL SIMPLY FRIENDS WHO LOVE JESUS, WITH A SOUND COMPLETELY UNIQUE . THEIR OWN HYMNS READ LIKE MODERN DAY 21ST CENTURY PSALMS /POETRY. WELL KNOWN HYMNS GIVEN INJECTIONS WHICH ENHANCE NOT DETRACT. I DANCED ABOUT AND SOMETIMES WEPT. GO BUY IT!

I've seen this band live, and great to hear some music that doesn't all sound the same. My favourites are 'Alabaster Jar', 'You Are My Vision' and 'Build Your Kingdom Here'. A breath of fresh air from the usual Coldplay-sounding Christian bands I've often heard. Some great lyrics, rawness and real creativity in the music. The only blip is 'Shining Star' - I don't know what it is but I always have to skip that song.

Never heard of this group but as CD was cheap and post free decided to give them a try. I rarely like music the first time I listen to new material but I was instantly hooked on this. Full of joyful instruments; we can all relate to the words (which are clear enough to actually hear) and be encouraged. Don't be put off by their confessing that it is all homemade and not studio-produced - with God's grace they have done an amazing job and produced a very professional album. Only recieved the 'experiement' album this morning but am already looking to buy another by them; it will probably be 'Campfire'. Well done Rend Collection, Jesus is with you; keep doing what you're doing!

Having just encountered The Rend Collective at worship events this summer, we bought the CD and have been enthusiastically singing our hearts out to it on every car journey since!

Much of the music is upbeat, with a stirring Irish feel to it. But it's not just puff that's fun to sing and jump to: the updated version of Be Thou My Vision is wonderful, and the lyrics to Build Your Kingdom Here are a true heart's cry of the believer who wants things to be different - including ourselves.
