Lights lasted a month. Poor.

Yes, these are cute shoes and my daughter wanted them for her birthday. I think they are expensive for kid's shoes - I don't even spend this much on trainers for myself! But she wanted them so we got her a pair as a gift.
Within a month one shoe no longer lights up and she's embarrassed to wear them now.
The thing is, she got a pair of Heelies from her gran, also for her birthday, and she ALWAYS lifted the Heelies to put on first, so I would recommend you get your kids those, rather than light-up shoes that only light up for a few weeks.
They should, at the very least, have a battery compartment you can get into to replace the batteries, seems ludicrous to sell something as expensive as this with such a woeful design flaw.
Updated to add: my daughter now refuses to wear these because they don't light up. So, what was supposed to be a fun birthday gift has turned into an expensive waste of money.
