This book is truly a repository of great code refactoring ideas and professionalism in software development and is based on the author's own experience. It's one thing to say what to do and quite another to say what not to do. Uncle Bob like a true mentor takes you through his own professional journey and the mistakes he made and shows how not to make the same mistakes again. I strongly recommend both these books, the first book would tell you about the code the second book will talk very insightfully about professional coder.

Have you ever gone back to previous project, module or class and thought to yourself- "what the hell..."
Then you probably want to read these books.
Anyone can write code, but this book gives you understanding of how to write better code that will be easier to test, maintain and add functionality/new requirements.
If you write code and need to buy one book this is probably the one.

Anyone who wants to take software development seriously really needs to read the Clean Code book. The Cleaner Coder not much so, but is still a worthwhile read.
With the clean code book, it does go a little crazy in places, but the underlying mantra's are brilliant.
