4.0 out of 5 stars Worth reading if you are following the Blackest Night series, 11 Jan. 2012
Squirr-El (The Metropolis, England) - See all my reviews
This volume collects a number of DC Comics issues that expand on the Blackest Night storyline - some are expansions of scenes from the main series, others take place off-stage to the main action.
Atom and Hawkman #46; Green Arrow #30; Adventure Comics #7 are in the former category;
Catwoman #83; Phantom Stranger #42; The Power of Shazam #48; The Question #37; Starman #81; Weird Western Tales #71 are in the latter.
Some of the above are excellent, others are good. They range across the spectrum, as it were. Some have happy endings, some don't, and others are resolved in Blackest Night itself. Enough of them are good enough to make the collection worth reading, if you are following the Blackest Night series.
