This does a great job converting digital HD into analogue HD. I use it with a Neet 2 Way HDMI splitter and a Hauppauge HDPVR and get fantastic results. It would be perfect if it could ouput optical audio aswell, but it works very very well as it is. The alternative HDfury costs so much more that this is an obvious choice if money is a factor.I was looking for a cheaper alternative for a long time, and here it is.
I recommend this completley.

I bought this in conjunction with a Hauppauge HD-PVR, to archive HD recordings from Sky+, and it works great.
My only concern is that the component sockets appear very loose (you can feel the innards of the adapter moving around when you plug a component cable in). This is probably not good, but I won't be unplugging/plugging in often (if at all) and its working fine. Will probably exchange it for another..

WARNING: Make sure that what ever HDMI device you use is NOT set to AUTO resolution or it wont work.

This device wouldn't 'see' my Sony BDPS790 Blu-Ray player and I wrongly assumed that the device was faulty. Whilst waiting for a replacement to arrive I happened to play around with some of the players settings and BINGO my Benq projector came into life via this converter.

By default the blu ray player has an AUTO setting on the resolution. Once manually set to 1080i everything was fine.

Great product bought from a most helpful seller.

Comes highly recommended.

The HDMI To RGB Component YPbPr Audio Video Converter 1080i does exactly what was claimed, excellent product!
Together with the AVERMEDIA C281 Game Capture HD Video Capture Device we can now transfer HD content from Satellite TV HD box to a media player, wahoo! :)

So I bought this product in view of bypassing the HDCP on the Playstation 4 to allow me to capture gameplay footage in conjunction with the Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket, but this item will not allow the signal to be received by the PVR. It does however allow you to record from a Sky+ HD box. If you're looking for an HDCP passthrough for your PS4, look somewhere else, but to record Sky, no problem.

This is a superb product; it looks and feels like a quality product. The performance is excellent, pin sharp video at 720P and strong solid colours with no shimmering or bleeding. I am using it to feed HDMI PC output and HDMI FreeSAT box output into a Hauppauge HDPVR. There are quite a few examples of this around all with different badging but obviously the same manufacturer. Very good price compared to some other converters available.

Bought to connect Sky+ & PC to 5 year old Sony Bravia. TV has 1 HDMI & 1 component input, couldn't get PC to work through device so swapped to Sky+ and picture quality very good. One suggestion is to ensure that the HD output of the sky box is set to 1080i or similar rather than automatic as device will try and resynch with each channel change. Bought 2nd unit to connect mates 10 year old 50" plasma to Sky+

I suppose I shouldn't rate this as 5 stars as it didn't work with my Apple TV. However, I phoned them and they upgraded it at no cost to their next one, which works perfectly. I have to set the resolution manually to stop it automatically rechecking every now and again. It was just pressing the button on the side. I thoroughly recommend this company.

Unpack, connect and just go with it. It's that simple. I can only assume that buyers with problems are trying to use it for other than its intended purpose because it does that perfectly well.

I bought this, in conjunction with an HDMI splitter so that my son could connect his XBox to a Haupaugge HD-PVR to record his gameplays. As his monitor didn't have component inputs, I decided to use a splitter to sent the video straight to the monitor through HDMI, and also to this unit so that this could then go straight to the PVR. Works really well and produces great quality recordings.
