4.0 out of 5 stars Walking with the Little Dragon
Bruce Lee expert John Little has made a very well produced documentary charting the Locales of all four of Bruce Lees films. 'The Big boss', 'Fist of Fury', 'Way of the dragon' and 'Enter the dragon'.
The DVD is very informative in respect of actually visiting and comparing how things have changed since Bruce actually filmed at the locations in the early seventies...

3.0 out of 5 stars Felt very dissappointing.
I'm going to give this a bad review as the premise is great but the execution leaves alot to be desired. It's like John Little though wow - great idea then got bored half way around his adventure. The locations he visits provide interest for the die hard like myself however for the less committed the film is pretty dull and boring. It kind of felt like there was no point...

Bruce Lee expert John Little has made a very well produced documentary charting the Locales of all four of Bruce Lees films. 'The Big boss', 'Fist of Fury', 'Way of the dragon' and 'Enter the dragon'.
The DVD is very informative in respect of actually visiting and comparing how things have changed since Bruce actually filmed at the locations in the early seventies. However the documentary is not a guide to how Bruce made each film but rather where he filmed it and why the locations were chosen. There are some nice interviews with people who remember Bruce filming in their places of work as in the Ice factory featured in 'The big boss' As well as interviews with production managers who assisted him whether filming in Rome for 'The way of the dragon' or in Hong Kong for 'Enter the dragon' The documentary also has clips from all of these films with comparisons of how some scenes look today, and for the Bruce lee fan, how you can actually find them.
Good also to see that the Monk scene from 'Enter the dragon' is shown using the original dub of Bruce Lees voice rather than the one that John Little somewhat strangely added himself for the Special edition of 'Enter the dragon' a few years ago.
All in all a nice addition to any Bruce Lee fans DVD collection.

If you love Bruce Lee and you like to follow his footsteps, this is an absolute MUST-HAVE. Sit back and relax as Bruce Lee expert John Little takes you on a journey across the globe, showing you all the filming locations of the Bruce Lee films. Without moving an inch, you are traveling together with John to the Big Boss's ice factory and mansion in Thailand, the 'No Chinese Allowed'-park in Macau, the streets and monuments in Rome and Han's Island in Hong Kong, among many others. Here's your chance to see how these places look 40 years after Bruce Lee came along. And you won't be disappointed! Amazing stuff!

I'm going to give this a bad review as the premise is great but the execution leaves alot to be desired. It's like John Little though wow - great idea then got bored half way around his adventure. The locations he visits provide interest for the die hard like myself however for the less committed the film is pretty dull and boring. It kind of felt like there was no point visiting the link for Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon as there's nothing really left. The visits to Thailand in respect of the Big boss and Rome for the Way of the Dragon provide the only real interest. He should have really gone to town with this, made the contacts with people that worked on the film, had alot of anedotes to tell etc to make the piece more interesting. What we get is John Little plodding through each locality. It's interesting to see Malisa Longo on the film, the Italian actress from Way of the Dragon, but she obviously doesn't has much to say as she's only on camera for a minute or so. Oddly enough he didn't visit Bruce Lee's home or office's etc -- which might have been good. He's obviously done this piece with little/no co-operation from collaborators and it shows. Basically this 60 mins could have been an extra attached to a special edition of Warriors Journey, it's very very disappointing. I think that with interviews from people involved in the film it could have been good, yes many are not with us anymore but there's enough people around to contribute. He obviously can't revisit this now, could have been soooo much better. Considering John Little's books on Bruce Lee are quite well put together, see - his book on Bruce Lee's training etc especially, this is a real let down.

John Little does a great job visiting all those filming locations from the 4 movies that made Bruce Lee a star and legend. With great detail to attention and easy listening commetary we get to see those locations where all those famous fighting and action took place and compare what they look like today 40 years later as compared to how they originally looked on screen, how some places have changed and some places look remarkly the same just as in the movie. From Thailand to Macau, Hong Kong to Rome, John Little's documentary will truly satisfy all the Bruce Lee fans out there, the legend lives on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Error in description., 17 May 2013
This review is from: Bruce Lee - In Pursuit Of The Dragon [DVD] (DVD)
Hey guy's. This is a great DVD and I'd recommend it but just a head's up for those who care. It states in the description the running time is 90 min's, where in fact it's only 62 min's. Just thought I'd throw that out there! Still a must for any fans like myself.
