I just received 3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses Kit and I only have words of "wow" and wonder. Absolutely jawdropping 3D experience as soon as you first experience Nvidia demo and watch your first 3D stuff. Is simply outstanding how good Lightboost is in comparision with previous 3D vision version. Now image in 3D is brighter and vivid, colors are there in all its glory. 3D PC games like TRINE 2 will blow your mind. 3D experience in PC have not been better as it is today thanks to Nvidia. I recommend this glasses 100 %. Is easy to configure, works almost out the box right away. I use them with Benq XL2420T and works so fine, specially viewing 3D photos, and Bluray 3D movies... PC gaming in 3D though can be a little dizzy to handle, but some games like TRINE 2 really shine in 3D and really worths it. I hope more developers to bet on 3D techonology cause if applied right is the most awesome gaming experience ever.
This Kit DOES include the IR emmiter. So the price is really good. I would love though this kit include some 3D bonus stuff like a bluray movie or 3D game like Nvidia did in the past including Duke Nukem in their previous 3D vision version.

I have an asus 120htz monitor and an asus GeForce gtx 760 gr card. Together with these works like a charm. The 3d effect is inward, so it doesn't have images floating outside the tv, think inward depth. The effect is stunning. Now to some of the quirks.

Firstly it is hard on the eyes, at least for me, and I have a 3d tv and a 3d projector. Not sure I could stick hours gaming with them to be honest, again I am sure you can get accustomed to it and obviously this is just my opinion.
Secondly, the whole setup for games requires a lot of configuration changes. To be fair asus do this fairly well. So when you select that you want 3d you have a drop down list of games and the recommended settings. You apply these then run the games and bingo. At least that how I have done it so far. Now the interface for this is a bit old style interface? It isn't something you could let a kid loose on, at least with ours anyways.
Thirdly...you need a dual dvi cable. I tried everything else to no avail, even a hdmi to dvi cable. So if you are buying this I would suggest you get a cable as well.

The glasses quality is very good, they do look like they can take a bit of use. They have a usb cable to charge, it's the mini usb connector, the one used to charge android phones. My son did point out (rather annoyingly I might add!) how can you wear them with the headphones on..oops on me I guess. Actually they are okay just make sure you have spongy ear cups on your headphones.

I have yet to watch a movie on, when I do I will post it here.

Overall great item, but worth 100 stg...er, no and I don't think it adds 100 stg to the games it supports either. Feels more like a 25 stg item to me. I removed a star for a series of issues, the price is idiotic IMHO and the cable. For 100 stg I think asus could have included one but that's just me. Would I buy them again, no I don't think I would. Again your mileage may differ.

Was skeptical about 3D in general - but bought these after reading the comments here and from some additional research on the web/youtube I decided to take a punt.

I'm pleased I did and can say they are amazing from using these myself in BF3 and WOW I'm pretty damn impressed. The glasses are comfortable and have played for a couple of hours and after 10-15 mins I didn't really notice them. If you use a pair of cans (headphones) you will need to adjust the strap to allow a bit more room - my X-Tatics fitted over with no worries.

I'm running with a Evga 660Ti 3Gb, BenQ XL2411T and play BF3 & WOW on ultra 1920*1080...bear in mind that when you switch 3D on it halves your frame rate, so you need to make sure your GPU and rig are up to the job...mine just about does the job and have QX9950 Pro with 6GB Corsair Gaming RAM...ideally I would upgrade to i5 Ivy bridge and drop 8GB newer RAM (higher frequency)and prob SLi another card (but money don't grow on trees) however you can turn down the game settings to play 3D at a higher frame rate. I can play BF3 single player in 3D and revert to 2D for multi player...which I'm happy to do.

Def worth getting a pair - nvidea have a list of games that are compatibale with the glasses, so you can play through youy old games to give them a new lease of life and experience them in 3D - which is kinda cool and fun.

i love these glasses as they have saved me a fortune in new games, as I am playing through old games in 3d and am blown away by the additional depth it brings. when you load a game it gives an onscreen rating for the 3d so you can choose whether you want it or not. good battery life and cable long enough to wear while recharging.

After a very long overdue upgrade to a Geforce 980GTX and Acer Predator XB270HA monitor I was curious to see what 3D Vision was about. I have to say, I have been completely blown away by the experience! Despite many people, reviews and websites stating that 3D Vision seems to have died a complete death and is not well supported by developers - I have simply not found this to be the case. I've had to tweak a few games (shadows seem to have some probs) but really the 3D is really good in everything. Even GTA 5 runs pretty good with 3D Vision which was very unexpected considering it only came out a couple of days ago! Installation was a complete breeze and was plug and play (rather than plug and pray!). The shutter glasses are a little weird to get used to but they don't cause me any eye strain or headaches - they are certainly easier going than the Oculus Rift VR headset which is fairly full on and makes many people feel very disorientated and nauseous. The 3D Vision glasses are a little heavy and I find them a little uncomfortable after wearing them for a couple of hours or more but that's my only gripe. Overall very, very impressed. Excellent service and delivery from Amazon again :)

The issue with these is getting them to work with the monitor. Although my monitor was easiy capable of the 120hz limit ( it is a 144hz capable IIyama Pro lite) the monitor is not on the list of approved monitors. This should not have been an issue as you can use an EDID override to emulate an approved monitor. The 3D then works with one major drawback, the left and right eye signals are flipped, so to see the 3d properly you have to wear the glasses upside down. Many applications include the option to flip the left and right eye signals, So for watching movies on say powerdvd you can wear the glasses normally. As it is such a simple thing to be able to flip the eye signals, it is stagering to find out that nvidia drivers dont allow you to switch the signal. They have stated on their forum that they will never provide such functionality. So they either need to make the glasses symmetrical so that they can be worn either way. So check your monitor is on the approved list before ordering. When they work the 3d is breath taking, and its really sad that Nvidia point blank refuse to fix this well known issue.

Great results on a 480GTX with Benq 24'' 3D vision monitor. Nice 3D options with depth customization in the Nvidia control panel.

I've got a decent gaming rig with a GTX970 card and G-sync monitor - you'd have though this would be a 'plug and play' job to get this working. Unfortunately, it's not up to scratch. I had to re-install the Geforce drivers to get the glasses running, then they would randomly stop working between games, or every time I rebooted the PC.

Looked on the web to find other people having the same issue, tried their fixes (regedit etc), and then a complete wipe and new install of the driver, it still didn't work well.

I shouldn't have to put up with re-installing drivers every hour or two just to use these. Maybe in another year, Nvidia will have sorted these out. A bitter disappointment, but good luck if you get them working.

When these glasses arrived I was very excited to get them out the box and give them a try. I am not bad with computers but this still took me about 20/30 mins to set up and get working correctly. I loaded up GTA5 and the 3D was great and everything was running smoothly. There was 1 problem however which I could not cope with and that was how uncomfortable these glasses were. After about 15 mins or so of play time I couldn't keep them on my head any longer, so I boxed them back up and returned them for a refund. I just don't understand how nvidia can make such a great piece of kit but fall so short on making them comfortable.
