I already own the other "100 Hits" 70s CD sets, so when this came out it was a must for me. 5 CDs of absolute quality 70s tunes. CD 1 including the likes of Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel (Make Me Smile), Racey (Lay Your Love On Me) Mud (Tiger Feet) and the Tom Robinson Band (2-4-6-8) is my favourite but I'm loving CD 2 as well, with the likes of Suzi Quatro (Devil Gate Drive), Racey (again!) with Some Girls,Blondie (Heart Of Glass) and Dr Hook.
As ever with the 100 hits collections, some of the tracks may feel more miss than hit (but not many !!) but some of them are classics and others will, with many, be pure nostalgia (for me, Milk & Alcohol by Dr Feelgood, is a real blast from the past and kicked off some very vivid childhood reminisces)
This is my favourite 70s 100 hits compilation so far and I thought the others were just brilliant too ! Take a trip back to the days of Seaside Special on the telly, Ed "Stewpot" Stewart on Saturday morning radio, endless school summer holidays (with proper sunshine),England seemingly always getting thrashed by the Windies at the cricket and (only) three TV channels - enjoy !!

Some great tracks, it's a good collection of songs especially if you grew up in the 70's
It is a shame though that Mr Glitter is a bad chap as his music along with the Glitter Band was a very large part of the 70's music scene for me.
9/10

Another great collector's item for music-fans of the Seventies era, for me,
it's all about listening to many favourite memories in an unfamiliar play-
order.....it is unlikely that any of the 100 tracks on this 5-CD compilation
will be numbers that you don't already have.
This was an era that brought 'Fun' back onto the music agenda....the emergence
of what was called 'Glam-rock' ....obviously many of your favourite artists of
that time are not included on this compilation, however the ones that are and
the tracks chosen, are....indeed 'Super' ....bringing back the memories of that
time.
Again i'll pinpoint one or two tracks from each disc to give a flavour of what's
on offer on this 'Value-for-money' collection......on disc one....'Mud' --'Tiger
Feet'...'Wizzard' --'See My Baby Jive'...'Tom Robinson Band' --'2-4-6-8 Motorway'
'Cliff' --'Devil Woman'...'E.L.O' --'Showdown'...and...'The Wurzels' --'I Am A
Cider Drinker'......just a few of the many great sounds on disc one....on disc Two
...'Blondie' --'Heart Of Glass'...'Suzi Quatro' --'Devil Gate Drive'...'Harpo' --
'Movie Star'...'Helen Reddy' --'Angie Baby'...'Lindisfarne' --'Meet Me On The
Corner'...and...'The Selector' --'On My Radio'.....again many great memories to
enjoy on disc two...on dis three...'Crystal Gayle' --'Talking in Your Sleep'...
'New World' -=-'Tom Tom Turnaround'...'Racing Cars' --'They Shoot Horses Don't They'
'Clifford T Ward' --'Gaye'...'Roxy Music' --'Love Is The Drug'...'Dr Hook' --'If
Not You'...'Hot Chocolate' --'Emma'...and...'K.C. and the Sunshine Band' --'Please
Don't Go'......Just a sample of the many great sounds on disc Three( I'd have
probably paid the £4.99 for that one disc).....on disc four....'E.L.O'...'Roll over
Beethoven'...'Cozy Powell' --'Dance with the Devil'...'Roy Wood' --'Dear Elaine'
'The Move' --'California Man'...'Dr Feelgood' --'Milk and Alcohol'...'The Knack'
--'Good Girls Don't'...and...'The Stranglers' --'5 Minutes'.....one or two of
the tracks to enjoy on disc four.....on disc five....''George McCrae' --'Rock your
Baby'...'Tavares' --'More Than a Woman'...'Marshall Hain' --'Dancing in the City'
'Frankie Miller' --'Darling'...'Kenny' --'The Bump'...'Suzi Quatro' --'If You Can't
Give Me Love'...and...'The Specials' --Nite Klub' .....again just a selection of
thje many great sounds on disc five.
Again I've only highlighted a few favourites from this 'Great-Value' compilation,
check it out, I'm sure you will select a lot of favourite memories from what's
on board as have I.....enjoy..

Generally a good selection but some obscure recordings and lacking some of the biggest hits of the decade. Brings back some happy memories
