You cant go wrong with this for the money - but wont last that long
on 4 September 2012
If you want to try out boxing then spending £50 on this setup is perfect. The glove mits are fine to get started although you probably want to upgrade to some padded thumb ones when hooking. The bracket is rock solid, the bag is perhaps a little light but perfectly adequate to get started and honing technique first. I tether mine to the floor to keep it steadier. The chain works well, everything you need to get started. The skipping rope is poor quality and not suitable for mynneeds and hand grips are light and the key chains i didnt reallly need.
For the price this is excellent and you wont be disappointed if you want to start out with boxing training.
February 2013 update:
Unfortunately after 6 months use (1 x week) the strap at the bottom that tethers it the ground has ripped. This was important to me as it minimised the swinging around with a small space to use in. The bag is still functional however.
To be fair the vendor was responsive to my emails, however said it only came with a 90 refund/return policy i.e. no replacement after breaking within 6 months use! They did offer a "big" discount off of an alternative bag, however this didn't materialise into a big discount at all more a token gesture which i declined. I was hoping for a better offer given i have purchased a number of RDX products over the last year.
Long and short of it is, for £50 this is still a good deal but from experience don't expect it last for that long.
