We had never heard of this brand or range before. We promised ourselves that when we got our new kitchen (we just had a temporary kitchen for 5 months) we`d get ourselves a new bread knife as we only had one and that always seemed to be in the dishwasher!! So we searched and came across this one, we liked the colour and saw the good reviews so gave it a go and are very glad we did. The old bread knife hardly ever gets an outing anymore. My only other observation would be that it's not as big as some bread knives so might not cope with very large loaves.

I bought a whole set of these knives and absolutely love them! Aside from looking pretty, they stay very sharp (we've had them almost 6 months now and they still haven't needed sharpening) and are comfortable to use. Highly recommend them.

Delivered as expected, very sharp, makes cutting bread a doddle especially very thin brown bread slices used for smoked salmon sandwiches.
Drawbacks - should have chosen a brighter colour to help find it in the knife drawer. I was impressed by the statement that it was a Japanese steel blade but I saw a 'made in China' stamp on the handle. Perhaps that's just the plastic handle and many pre-made blades from Japanese workshops are shipped to some nether Sino regions for plastic forming and joining.
Anyway, I'd buy another of their range.

The knife loses a star because the first one sent arrived bent, probably due to inadequate packaging. It was replaced without fuss and although the packaging of the second knife was equally poor it arrived safely. The fact that it bent relatively easily makes me fear for its longevity. BUT the knife cuts bread brilliantly. I doubted the need for a bread knife and that such a cheap knife would be any good. We have always used an expensive heavy sabatier knife to cut bread and I have to admit this does a much better job of getting through crust and crumb to give a slice of bread in one piece. It has coped with home made sour dough bread and other difficult to cut loaves to produce lovely straight even slices. Recommended. Oh and thanks to the person who suggested getting a bright colour so it doesn't get lost in the drawer, I would always buy black but it was a good tip.
