When the alarm first goes off in the morning you think to yourself 'Why did I get such an annoying alarm clock?' Then you have to get out of bed on time and 20 minutes later you realise you are actually on time and think 'I love that alarm clock'. I have no snooze set so that I can't cheat and hold it as I have heard many people do, so it jumps off the bedside table straight away and starts rolling round the room. Depending on what floor it drops onto, the noise of it dropping onto the floor will probably wake you up instead of the beeping but the beeps are so annoying you can't ignore them so have to get up to turn it off.

WARNING: don't use this alarm clock if you need to get up without waking other people up. It turns out they do wake up and get very annoyed at the fact your alarm clock works too well!

Clocky is so mean, yet so efficent.
Though I do find myself hitting the snooze button, and then holding onto clocky while I snooze ensuring he can't get away when he goes off again. Though this is due to laziness, no fault of clocky himself.

My roommate hates clocky.

Fun clock for people of all ages. Bought it for my son who thinks its great and feel like buying one for myself! I love how it jumps down and runs away from you.

Bought this for my teenage daughter who finds it difficult to get out of bed in the morning.
Now she has to get up to find the clock otherwise it keeps going making the annoying R2D2 noises.
Definitely recommend for anyone who has trouble getting up.

Bought this as a birthday present for my other half who sets three (yes, 3) alarm clocks in the morning. He's been known to switch off a normal alarm, go back to sleep and be late for work more than once.

Hency, clocky! The only drawback being that I forgot to factor in that I stay at his place sometimes and so have the joy of clocky too... Be warned, the noises that come out of that thing are likely to set dogs barking two blocks away.

It most certainly will get you out of bed, but you might want to smash it into a million little pieces.

As an adult sufferer of ADD, I find getting up in the mornings a real struggle. My technique of setting multiple alarms on my phone to go off over an hour was working, but didn't guarantee that I got out of bed on time. I would sometimes find myself waking up mid-morning with a sleep hangover, clutching my phone, with all the alarms switched off.

I was suggested this alarm clock by a friend, and it has become indispensable to my morning routine. Aside from the obvious selling point of zipping round my room every morning, forcing me to scrabble out of bed to turn it off, a further clever feature is the alarm itself: Unlike most alarm clocks that play a loop of music or emit a regular series of beeps (which your sleepy brain can incorporate into your dozy half-dream), Clocky plays a garbled, arrhythmical set of bleeps, buzzes, pings and other noises that is impossible to ignore, shaking your brain into reluctant action.

Setting it up is simple (although I recommend giving the manual a quick glance), and reliability has been rock-solid so far. If I had more thumbs, they would all be pointing up.

If you're not a morning person, and don't want to splash out silly money on an alarm clock, this is the one for you.

I love Clocky! Clocky is very mean because every morning I wake up to some really annoying beeping sounds first R2D2 noises next just beeping noises! But the main thing is, is that he/she (Clocky) really works, I literally get out of bed to chase Clocky and turn him off!I recommend Clocky because he really works! Hope I helped!

The only negative point is that I have bought this clock towards the end of the school year.
It is fantastic - when the allotted time comes, Clocky leaps off his TV unit and starts motoring about the floor like a hyperactive R2-D2 (that's the best way I can describe it). My teenage son used to immediately turn his alarm off and go back to sleep, but now he has to get out of bed and stop the awful racket. And that's him up!
Cannot get a better alarm clock for doing exactly what an alarm clock is supposed to do. Perfect.

I struggle to fight the snooze demons on a morning. I've already got a sunlight alarm clock and have previously tried the 'Sonic Bomb' alarm clock (hateful). I've been putting off getting Clocky but I'm very glad I relented. He's a genius bit of design and his R2D2 ensemble of vocalisations are weirdly charming. He's effective at waking me up no doubt so ultimately he functions as required. He even rolled under the bed the other day which required fishing him out with a coat hanger... suffice to say I was widely awake!

It's not 5 stars because I think he is nevertheless overpriced and doesn't move around as much on the floor as I would like, tending to spin around on his axis. However, I wouldn't hesitate on balance to recommend him to those who need the extra stimulation to get up on a morning...!
