are these really ghd's????
on 23 January 2012
Having used GHD's for the past 10-12 years and having my latest irons for around 5 years, the time had come for a new pair. I got the scarlet limited edition set for christmas, and they are quite possibly the worst straighters i have ever used!!
They didnt feel as hot as the other ones, i could tell due to the lack of 'steam' that came off my hair whilst using them, and as the plates only meet at the end, and not all the way down, they didnt seem to grip my hair properly and i found myself having to go over it 2-3 times.
my hairdresser said that they were meant to be like that, if they have been made so that the plates dont meet, whoever has designed them wants the sack!! i have naturally thick wavy hair and they hardly touched it.
GHD have also brought them out with the standard gold plates, so i made sure i ordered the classic styler when i sent them back and at £50 cheaper make this set even more of a rip off!!
