This review is from: Darker Echoes (Paperback)
Reading this book is comparable to watching The Twilight Zone. Both contain short stories which are often highly original, memorable and philosophical. I loved The Twilight Zone, and likewise loved this book.

I was genuinely amazed at the philosophical depth of some of the stories, I just wasn't expecting for them to make me think as much as they did, but that is probably my favourite aspect of the book.

There are other stories which focus on the kind of concise, imaginative world-building (think Iain M Banks), and yet others that are more classic twist-in-the-tale types which make the most out of the short story format.

But they are diverse and as a result, immensely fun to read. There is also an undercurrent of humour which I loved, some witty dialogue had me chuckling.

All in all I'm wondering: how am I the first to be reviewing this book?? It's absurdly underrated.
