I can't yet comment on the Wii itself, because it's a gift for my children and it's not yet Christmas, but buyers should know that this is not a pristine, UK-supplied Wii console. The black box that looks so smart in the picture arrived battered and torn, inadequately padded in its (recycled) outer cardboard box, where apparently PC Supplies have had to 'de-courierize' shipments from the US, and then replace American cables etc. with British ones.

As I say, I am not yet in a position to comment on whether it will work, and PC Supplies assure me the actual console inside the beaten-up box is brand-new and fault-free. To be fair to them, they reiterated their 12-month guarantee and dealt with my complaint reasonably, offering an instant return and refund which I am still pondering.

But the point is that I think it is highly disingenuous not to say on the Amazon page that the outer box has been opened and tampered with, and foreign components replaced; and it is just plain wrong of Amazon not to insist that the supplier advertises this fact on the product page (if PC Supplies are correct in their assertion that they 'don't have to say' the boxes are damaged).

My kids likely won't care about the box, and you could just dispense with the outer black box and wrap up the plain white inner one, which is at least pristine. But still, it does not inspire confidence that the retailer is not being completely open about what you are actually buying.

This game is unbalanced, no skill required, the wheel "add-on" is unresponsive, tacky and pointless... no Gamecube support makes this game obsolete as it is impossible to play otherwise... yep, Nintendo sure care about its customers now, with an over-saturated market leading them to selfishly remove the good aspects of the console (Gamecube support, meaning you can play classic games and some Wii games without needing batteries)
