Whilst this may seem a tad self-indulgent, this is a very interesting curio, lifted in part by a careful selection of 'guest' remixes that take the original soundtrack by Alex/Thomas in very different directions. Initially I was worried that this might fall apart as an album, but to be honest only the D Harrow remix seems overly clonky. Thomas' own remix is very humourous, and yet it's also very cool, as are most of the other reinterpretations.

The DVD is ok, and features some 'remixed' videos accompanied by one of th audio remixes, but it's the original film that stands out, and how it works so well with the Orb soundtrack. This is clearly a personal project for those involved, but only rarely (in the booklet) does it come across as over-sentimental.

The booklet is beautifully produced, and whilst some of the verses/notes in it are not the most enthralling poetry I've read, most work well alongside the image they sit with.

I think the Audio CD is the strongest part of this package, but it does all sit together very nicely and thumbs up to the Orb/families/Malicious Damage for releasing such an unusual item (which we know won't sell well). Thanks!
