This phone is excellent for the price.I bought here on amazo for only 20pound.Its does the job perfectly. It has no camera. But soud is crisp clear.buttons are easy to operate and press.battery lasts forever(cosidering you charged it for 12 hours for the first time before use).Holding the phone in my hand gives me a solid feel even though its made out of plastic.I have dropped it few times already but the phone is still intact.Overall a great phone if you are buying a cell phone for its purpose and not as a gadget.

I was asked by a friend to order this phone for her, and she tells me she is delighted with it. It does what she wants - texts and calls, and no other 'frills' It is the sort I will get for myself when needed.

Cheap, light, durable, clear sound, colour screen, headphones if you want to use them. Like an iPhone, but better on battery and has less apps.

Looking for a phone where you can just make calls, send a text or two and have a calculator never too far away? Then you need this phone in your life, a nice lightweight handset from Samsung, who really have thought of everything.

Don't expect much from the GT-E1230, this is an entry-level phone made for people who just want to make calls, text, and do a few other bits. There is no web, 3G, Bluetooth or camera, this is for those of you less technical, or just don't want an expensive smartphone.

So why did I get one? Simple, I just needed a phone to call and text as my LG's screen died, the rest of it works, but as I don't want to open another contract - I got this and put my old SIM in, and off it went. Sadly, my contacts were lost, but my texts took to it like a duck to water.

This is a nice phone, easy to see keys and lightweight, and has a speaker for use with the speakerphone system. Granted, the screen is not that large, and the text isn't great, but this is fantastic for someone who doesn't really use a mobile a lot. Maybe good for an emergency phone?

This mobile is really easy to use too, within 3 minutes you are able to use this, have the time and date setup; and have all your numbers quickly put in.

There are some extras with this, you do get one game, and you have an FM radio, which can take a 3.5mm jack, so you can use your own earphones.

What do you get in the box then? You get headphones and a mic, the charger and the phone. With this SIM free edition, you can just put any SIM card (no micro-SIM though) and use as you would with your old phone. This phone will easily fit in any pocket and case.

Great phone, if I have anything else to add to this I will report back to this review, but so far, so good and well worth the tenner I paid for it.

Bought this for my child to take to secondary school, it was one three approved models on the list.

The phone is very basic, and so light it seems as though there are no electronics inside. However the battery life is incredible (particularly when compared to the average smart phone) and it has stood up well to 4 weeks of the normal wear and tear at school.

I chose this phone largely due to the exceptional review on Amazon. I have not been disappointed. It is light, a convenient size and has some useful features such a calendar, calculator and so on. The battery life is excellent and have not charged it since I got it. It was up and working in 5 minutes. The screen is bright, clear and unfussy. Great price too.

Had this phone for 4 months now and very pleased with it. I'm not into texting or surfing the net on the move so this little phone suits me for what it is... a "telephone" ...A thing you talk into, remember those? Lovely little thing that just slips into a trouser pocket. The only problem I've had with it ...It keeps switching itself on in my pocket so I've cured that by buying a little case for it, problem solved.

This was a replacement for the Samsung E250, which developed a fault after years of service. It is a similar simple phone, but I feel that it has been improved worse. Graphics not as good, difficult to read in strong light, but the reason I am about take it to the Charity Shop and buy a 2nd hand E250 is that I now miss most of my incoming texts. It chimes just once, unlike the E250, which gave me a chime every 7 minutes or so. I refuse to peer at my phone every few minutes, I would probably morph into a teenager. Tried to email Samsung, easier to contact aliens on Vogon. So, back to the obsolete better model. Brian.
