Looked at loads of different cameras and models but kept coming back to this one, ended up buying three as gifts for family members which included the two grand children (eldest 10). The camera is easy to use and would fit into a bag or pocket easily and has photographic features for almost everything. Although it's battery is more expensive (NP45A rechargeable) they are well worth the money as it has a much longer life than the AA's. All in all a great camera at a great price. The only downside in my opinion is the lack of written instructions (available on disc supplied with camera). So come on Fuji get printing those instructions.

I bought this camera for making videos. I love how the camera focuses really well. You can choose if you want a digital zoom or optical zoom, the quality is very clear and overall I'd say that this is an amazing starter camera!

The only downside is that it doesn't come with a memory card! Or a camera case (which should come with it from amazon).

Bought this as a birthday present for my ten year old daughter. It is easy to use and so far the 'photos she has taken have been great and very good quality. Think it is a great starter camera for children, however, I will be borrowing it from her as it is so easy to handle.

This camera seems quite versatile and generally capable of the funtions that I wish it to perform.

As I said, "it seems quite versatile", the major fault that I have found is the complete lack of working instructions, it is guess work all the way, even the camera software does not provide any hints on the camera operertion.

I have previously had a Fujilm Finepix A435 camera, and althouth this is a better piece of kit, the A435 at least came with an instruction booklet.

Come on Fujifilm, I would and I think most people would be willing to pay a little extra to get an instruction book !

Great little camera for the price. Wasn't bothered about the colour so bought the white one as it was cheaper. Some people have said it seems a bit flimsy and lightweight, but I don't think so. It's small and can easily fit in bag or pocket. Picture quality seems pretty good too.

The only drawback is that the manual is only available on the disk and the written instructions are very basic and done as a cartoon. Still I suppose that's one of the reasons why it's cheap.

I bought this cameras to repace an aging 5mp camera , all I wanted was a pocket camera with easy settings and good pictures considering the 12mp it was advertised and the size ,I was shortly very dissapointed with the results , first often it would`nt turn on pressing the bottom of the battery compartement brought it into life the date had to set again and again I had to buy a new battery and at least it turns on but battery life is painfully low , next the pictures are blurred on the right and zoom-in is poor on playback also, gone back to my 5mp and are looking to replace the Fujifim .Fujifilm FinePix L55 Digital Camera - Red (12MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4 inch LCD Screen

Bought 2 of these for the kids for Holiday for £30 each. They did the job prefectly, video comes out surprisingly well, has a rechargeable battery which is unusual for a camera this cheap, picture quality is good. Menu is easy enough for kids, so all in all, a great little buy

Bought this and am very pleased. It takes good pictures and the charger is like your mobile - it plugs in to the wall socket and in to the camera so no having to take the battery out to charge. Note the memory card has to be bought separately and does not come with the camera and also no camera case which I knew but can not understand!

Not being a great camera user, I wanted something simple but effective, and this camera was it! Easy to get going with simple instructions, which I needed! It is so light and compact and the color makes it look the part. The only downside (and this probably was an oversight with my particular package) was that the memory card was missing. Rather than return the entire camera, I bought a compatible card, and all was ok. I would certainly recommend this great little value for money camera to anyone. (Amazon verified purchase)

Very cute camera with fantastic basic features. Very impressed with it. Camera arrived fairly quickly and well packaged. With such price, it is a great deal and you will not regret. Will recommend it especially as gift for the teenagers as first time cameras.
