Portable AA Battery Emergency Mobile Phone Charger

I bought a few of these for me and for friends and family - as an alternative to the more expensive branded versions from people like duracell. I have a new model blackberry and as they always seem to eat juice and cut off just at the point when the wife is chasing me, i needed an emergency solution.

It does what it says on the tin - allowing you to make an emergency call. However, it'll only put a little bit of charge into the phone - it doesn't recharge it, it gives it a few bars for a few minutes - there seems to be only so much juice you can get into the phone, regardless of how long you use it for.

In fact, I find you can just use the same AA battery over and over again. Each time the phone battery gets to near zero, i just pop the unit back in, and it gives me enough juice to make a call, or send and email or check a map or something.

As such it's not super good for if you're waiting to receive a call - it's to give you the power to do "outbound" stuff.

A bit disappointed - claims able to fully recharge your phone with one use of the battery, not so. Rated this as ok as it is good for if you just need to make one call.

It discharges the mobile phone NOT charges it! I was excited with the idea but as with many of these gadgets they NEVER work

Grandchildren love it and find it very useful. They cant say they cant keep in touch because their battery is flat.

Can't really comment till I hear back from recipient but would think "it does what it says on the packet"

BOUGHT THIS ITEM AND IT DID COME ON TIME BUT DOESNT FIT MY PHONE AS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT SHOULD FIT IS A TINY BIT BIGGER THN WHAT IT SHOULD BE
