5.0 out of 5 stars Breathe: A Novel of Colorado (The Homeward Trilogy), 9 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Dominic, Odessa and Moira arrive in Colorado Springs to start a new life but this doesn't get off to a good start as Odessa is literally clinging to life and they only reach the sanitarium in time. They've all got the weight of family expectations on their shoulders, four siblings died with tuberculosis and their mother died in childbirth. Dominic wants to study, Odessa dreams of writing and Moira is alive when she's singing and on the stage. Their Father's wish is that they open a book store and that Nic and Moira run it while Odessa recovers, not quite what they've been dreaming off. This book has love, intrigue and murder. Fellow tuberculosis sufferer Bryce McAllan is there for Odessa while Moira manages to attract the attentions of Reid, the ruthless sherriff. A lovely book, which you'll need to read for yourselves if you want to find out whether they find love and what happens to their dreams.
