I really like most of this album a lot and I often come back to it and really enjoy it and it spends the whole evening whizzing round and round in my cd player the only aspect of it is one particular track where Lou is a little to self indulgent for his own good but given that the rest of the album is supurb it's very forgivable

When LULU first came out, it seemed only Lou Reed admirers appreciated the enormous potential of this album. And off-course Lou Reed and ALL the members of Metallica. Watching interviews with Lou and Metallica made some of us understand how much this project meant to them, and made me personally spend a great deal of time listening to the lyrics and the music. I slowly have the feeling that more and more people are getting into this record and I am convinced that this album will become a classic (after its time) in the same way that BERLIN did.
The LULU Ltd package is gigantic in every sense of the word. A poster large enough to cover a wall, excellent photographs of Lou and Metallica, and off-course the CD (which I already had). For all the people who bought this album, played the first track, and put the CD back into its cover. Get the CDs out again. Listen. Listen. Listen. You will be surprised how good LULU really is.

I love Lulu the album but this review is just about the contents of the limited edition tube.
The tube itself is a thing of beauty and displays well standing at 124x13cm. The poster is huge at 120x160cm-I would have liked it double sided with the lyrics only printed on one side but this is not a major issue.
The CDs are the same as the limited CD/book edition and are housed a very nice fold out digipak with excellent artwork.
The three Anton Corbjin prints are B&W,50.8cm square and are of a quality that would justify the cost of framing.
At the current price of £25 this is worth buying even if you have the CD.

I love Lou Reed's music and have done for years. This album has been much derided but I like it a lot. I decided to buy this poster version out of interest for the contents not available elsewhere. I also must say that I found it being sold relatively cheap. When it arrived I was rather shocked at the huge size of the tube as the scale hadn't been very clear from the photos. It gave me a laugh anyway ! The tube is about four foot long and the poster's width is also four foot, so you'd need a fair sized wall to hang it on. The three photos of Lou Reed and Metallica have a nice feel about them and they'd be ideal for framing. The card board CD sleeve is different from the standard release as are the printed faces of the two CDs. All in all it's an interesting package but a bit impractical !

Yet another over priced photo album set of one the the worst albums ever recorded. During the epk interviews Lars, James, Kirk and Reed hit key points that describe this album perfectly: unstructured, effortless, one take, challenges fans (FU Lars), the post black album Metallica stamp, no afterthought, incoherent, just went with it, different territory, in the moment, totally different realm, recorded right then and there, no re-working .....more like pandora's toilet. Watch the EPK even metallica knows it sucks. This is the sales pitch' to sell dog poop, don't be fooled it's terrible. The View is probably the best song on this album and that my friends it sad....very very sad. This album makes St. Anger look like Master of Puppets, I'm dead serious. Listen to this piece of garbage on the loutallica website before you waste your money. If you could actually stomach listening to "The View" track just be warned that the whole album gets worse and worse and stays in the same vein as that song. This album is Incoherent, drunken babbling over recycled, repeated rock riffs that goes on and on and on and on. The vocals suck, the lyrics are laughable, James is a table, and the riffs are garbage. As stated this is one of the top 5 worst albums ever created. I can't believe this garbage was even's insulting to music and any music fan. There are lots of albums out right now that destroy this garbage: Evile, Warbringer, Megadeth, Skeletonwitch, etc. spend your cash on good music and support good music, don't support this trash or they will keep making it as they will just keep going making crap music with no effort because they know fans will buy it.
