Okay but a bit lacking
on 7 January 2015
This is the third book I have read in this series. I felt, in this one, that Cindy fell into the solution to the murder by accident rather than actually working it out in any logical sequence. I, personally, would have suspected the culprit from the start, given indications that should have been pretty obvious, even if sentiment makes her a bit blind. There was, as with the others I have read, a good element of suspense from unsavoury characters drawn into the plot as red herrings but I would like to have known what Sophia wanted to tell Cindy before being interrupted. I thought that left a bit of a loose end that needed tidying up.
Overall, I enjoyed this but need Cindy to become rather more solid as a character. At the moment she is a bit formless. Not sure what is missing but don't feel really connected to the characters.
