Spent long boring hours on-line looking for a bin for the kitchen that was practical and also not over-powering. The last bin we had was a 'Brabantia' press-top 60 litre, and although a real good bin; and it did us for a few years, the press-action failed to no longer work after a couple years. Also the bin was pretty big for our small kitchen, and also when full it would be very heavy to lift the bin bag out and take it to the wheelie bin outside. My cat would also work out if she jumped on top of it she could open it, and then she would be stood balanced around the rim of it helping herself to the contents of the bin ;) Clever kitty! Anyway, we wanted something more durable, smaller and not press-button. This was the first one I came across, well the first one was by Simple Human and £108! A sexy bin (he-he) but I could not justify spending that amount on a bin, no matter how stylish and sleek it looked! So...........got my daughter to pick this up for me (from Argos) sorry Amazon but it was £49.99 there ;) And I have to say it fits neatly to one side of our kitchen, looks very swish and is very practical - the main point! The three sections are great, I ignore the colours and use the brown pedal bin for general household waste and the other two for recyclable, milk bottles, tins, cardboard....and so on. We don't have many glass items - except wine bottles and they can go straight in the wheelie bin.
This bin fitted the bill exactly and already it is right at home in the kitchen :)
For £49.99 (from Argos if they still have it at that price) is a great buy, I highly recommend this bin :)
