Well, this album certainly came as a surprise. This has to be one of their catchiest albums to date. Even more so than Nightmare Anatomy. I love it!

The entire album is positively bombarded with nods to European subjects such as drug addiction, poverty and perhaps more importantly; religion. However, despite these being usually unhappy and depressing things to sing about, Will manages to spin them into fun, catchy songs that carry a lot of weight. One only needs to listen to the intro of "Deactivate" to understand what I am trying to say.

As I stated before, the album mentions a few subjects that happen to be focused on Europe, England mostly. This is clearly just Will exploring and having fun with London and old English culture which he has said in many interviews that hes a fan of. In saying this, Some Kind of Hate seems to be a project that Will has perhaps wanted to do for a while, which only makes it shine with personality.

Fans of Knives and Nightmare Anatomy will be surprised when first listening to this album as it is indeed different, but Some Kind of Hate will not only grow on you, it will grab you by the arm and take you to gallows! Less than a week and you will not put this one down for a very, very long time.

Another solid release from Aiden,

If you enjoyed their more recent work then you will definitely enjoy this album as well. They have returned to a more classic Punk Rock style, less Gothic/horror punk then Nightmare Anatomy and Our Gangs Dark Oath.

It stands out for two covers: One of Misfits "London Dungeon" the other of Joy Division "Transmission". The rest of the album is consistently well written and has some fantastic songs. Personal favourites are Broken Bones and There will be blood.

If you are a fan of Punk, Aiden of old or new I suggest you take a serious look at this album.
Also please buy rather then torrent it. This is not some platinum selling band, but an American Punk band trying to keep their heads above water. We must show our support for this kind of music. (Preaching over)
