5.0 out of 5 stars well worth the price
despite the 2.5 star rating, i gave this book a chance as there were few alternatives. very glad i did. it is concise, imformative and has more than enough information to get you by on a city break. with a detailed content section at the beginning, it is easy to navigate to pull up required sections when needed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Czech this out!
Not very impressed.Tiny in size and therefore not very comprehensive. I tried to decipher my first menu and immediately came unstuck with most of the words missing from this book. Various sections but seemed to be in no particular order and you're constantly flicking around in the book. Very tiring and trying in use

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Phrasebook, 10 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Czech Phrasebook (Collins Gem) (Kindle Edition)
Collins is a trusted and well-known publisher when it comes to phrasebooks and this influenced my purchase. The Kindle version is obviously a copy of the paper version, but with the added benefit of search functionality and the ability to resize text etc. The book is very straightforward and also includes some useful tips for your visit to the Czech Republic (e.g. top ten tips of common practices and customs and a list of public holidays). Admittedly, when I arrived in the Country, I found all Czech people I spoke to very helpful and English was very widely and proficiently spoken. However, having the phrasebook was a good back up just in case.
