5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational, 3 Jan 2012
This review is from: Upon Release From Prison: A True Crime Story of Redemption (Roll Call Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
Upon Release is an inspirational sequel to "Roll Call". BJ is out of prison and is in a Catch-22 situation; he can't get a job because of his felonies, and he needs a job in order to stay at the shelter. But through it all, he and his girlfriend Annette maintained their faith in God; despite the struggles of trying to adjust on the outside, and all the roadblocks they encountered. Together, they take on "The War on Drugs" and the "Criminal Justice System". This is an amazing piece of work; a wonderful storyline and well put together. I personally salute the author for his ambitions and his hard work.

This is a great follow up to Roll Call. Glenn's vivid images plunged me deep into the story and kept me turning the pages until the conclusion. I love these stories that take us places most of us have never been. It also shows that no matter how deep one has gone, there is always a way out. I highly recommend this book and look forward to any future books by the author!!

This review is from: Upon Release From Prison: A True Crime Story of Redemption (Roll Call Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
A friend of mine recommended that I take time to read UPON RELEASE.. He promised that it would be a memorable experience. I didnt think the subject matter would appeal, but I did eventually purchase the book and give it the benefit of the doubt. I'm so glad I did!! What a powerful and discriptive storyline!! This novel has it all, passion, humour, intrigue, I could not put it down. This is a story that I'm sure I will address again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard hitting and thought provoking, 8 Jan 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Upon Release From Prison: A True Crime Story of Redemption (Roll Call Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
This is an autobiographical story which tells it like it is. Be prepared for strong language and true life scenes. This book pulls no punches.
This was a great read, uncompromising with the truth, but at the same time quite emotional in places. The author's protectiveness of his girlfriend and reflections on his faith were woven expertly through the hard hitting drama, and these themes helped preserve the humanity of the story, which might otherwise have been too gritty and violent.
Highly recommended.

Next Block Buster

A great book "Upon Release" by Glenn Langohr, an inspirational story of redemption and victory. BJ the main character's story of the book, how he struggles with his personal life, and with his partner Annette, how they take on war against drugs. With God on their side they are more than conquerors. The book is full of action and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and tells the story of the California's unjust Criminal Justice system. No matter how far you gone, there is always hope as long you search for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars INSPIRATIONAL, GOOD VERSES EVIL, EYE OPENING, 30 Oct 2011
This review is from: Upon Release From Prison: A True Crime Story of Redemption (Roll Call Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
Glenn Langohr, in Upon Release, tells the tale of a man, BJ and his lovely partner Annette, and how they take on the fight of the war against drugs; it is their personal fight on many fronts. This book inspires everyone who reads it and those who will read it. The characters struggle to get out of the life of drugs and fight to get others out of the same. They take on some heavy hitters along the way, but with God on their side, how can they lose? They inspire others to turn their back on drugs and the life of prison and use their talent to help others.

This is definitely a book that needs to be read!!!
