A well written book which kept my interest right to the end
Just about to look for more from this author
This was a free book but one that would have been worth purchasing

5.0 out of 5 stars A Line Through Chevington, 15 Jan 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as a follow up to the previous one and would look forward to the next one if it is to be a trilogy. I found it engaging, with insights into life across the social spectrum at that time. The hope and expectation for the characters ensured the pages kept turning and of course, the reward was there.

I have found some of Mary Nichols books are badly edited in places, though this one is not the main culprit. It can be rather disappointing and detracts from the flow of the story. .

Thoroughly enjoyable read just could not put it down and when finished I could not wait for the sequel Promises & Pie Crusts. Mary Nichols captures the era and throws you straight there. Wonderful!

I read this after Promises & Pie Crusts which was probably in the wrong order. Gosh it was repetitive! I either knew the factual detail from the other book or the author insisted on telling me again - and again - in the following chapters.
