I have these lights in my bathroom and they consistently fail after about a few months of normal usage.

I have 8 in my bathroom and have replaced pretty much all of the lights a couple of times in the last year.
whilst the company is good at replacing them when they fail this is a tedious process of sending them off each time.

The other problem is how they fail:

First they start to flicker occasionally
Then they Flicker a lot(like strobe lights)
Then they go off completely (sometimes for days)
Then they sometimes come back to life for a couple of weeks
Then they die for good and go back to the company.
Then I get a replacement and after 3-4 months the cycle repeats!

I'd not recommend these to anybody.

Had a new house built and had these fitted as spots - 44 in total. The light intensity is good as is the colour of the light. Really looked forward to waiting years before I changed the lamps (quote on packaging 'Last 20 times longer than regular lamps', '20,000 switchable cycles').... after less than a year one lamp blew. Then on the anniversary (as of now) 2 more blew - getting on for 10% of the total. It would not be so bad if these were £2-£3 each as the money you spend of these might be off-set by the saving on electricity, but not so. I don't know what it is that fails in these lamps but the manufacturer better improve its quality!! Would I recommend.... no... it does not do what it says on the tin...

Tp 24, what can I say, worst bulb on the market
The story so far, we live in a new build house, bought 3 years ago total of 24 bulbs in this house, replaced them 4 yes 4 times!!!! at £7.99 each total £767.04 plus postage and packing, disgraceful.
Rung the developer who directed me to the supplier only to be informed it was not their fault but a 'power surge'!!!!
Contacted an electrician who informed me a power surge was 'a load of garbage' the bulbs are not made to last and to save money it would be best to have new fitments installed which would eventually save me more money in the long run!!!
It is very difficult to buy these bulbs at normal retail outlets.
When i eventually ordered 8 from the suppliers was told to register each bulb individually online!!!! Guess what 2 bulbs went 4 months later, informed supplier to be told they have no trace of me registering them online.
Saving up to have al fitments replaced DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS

Really poor quality lightbulb but they were fitted as part of our house (all 18 bulbs of them!) and other bulbs won't fit. So if you have feel a little miffed that you have been left in the position of having to spend nearly £10 on a bulb which is guaranteed for 2 years (although claims to last much longer than that) and find that within a year 15 bulbs have already gone chances are you have this bulb. On a positive note, TP24 are as good as their word and have replaced each bulb with another by return post so we haven't been out of pocket, and the last batch we got are very different and allegedly a lot more reliable. The jury is out on those, but this bulb should be avoided at all costs.

Completely agree with the two reviews above. We have a new house and constantly have to replace these bulbs. They do fail as noted above on an all too regular basis. Give me the old fashioned bulbs any day, what a ridiculous waste of time and money these are. Unfortunately it's a captive market so it's either buy them or have no light!!!

This LED bulb is supposed to be the best energy saving type because it is only 2.5w and with light brightness equivalent to 35w but sad to say that this don't last that long. We've got these in our newly built housing unit. 2 months later they started to fail. Same thing happens to our neighbours. We informed our housing developer about it. This is not the SMD type and when 1 LED element fails the rest will not light as well. The bulb holder is also deeper (7.6) compared to the standard GU10 (5.5). It's not worth the price even it has a 1 year warranty.

Amazingly bright and fast lighting for a very low energy bulb. I have L1 fittings from TP24 which have to have low energy gu10 type bulbs and won't take the standard gu10. These LED ones are amazing and much better than the bulbs which came with the lights. At around 3 watts - AMAZING1

Moved into a flat with these - can only use their tp24 bulbs in their fittings and they fail so quickly - we lose 1 every few weeks, which is crazy considering the cost of replacement! Seek alternative if possible, though I'm stuck with their fittings and so their bulbs!
