ONLY ORDERED 2 DAYS AGO AND IT CAME THIS MORNING, WORTH EVERY PENNY, WOULD HAVE PAID MORE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE POLE ITSELF, HUSBAND HAS CLEANED THE WINDOWS AND SAID HE REALLY IMPRESSED, WINDOWS HAVE NO STREAKS AND BETTER THAN WHEN THE WINDOW CLEANER DID THEM, I WILL RECOMMEND THIS TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS... 100%

11 October 2012 - I have updated this review based upon my experience of using it for a while.

I bought this to clean rooflights in my house extension (working from a ladder) as well as to clean upstairs windows, so my requirements may be different to the majority of people.

Pros :

The product is well made : sensibly sized (diameter) aluminium extension poles for sufficient strength and robust plastic fittings.
Uses standard Hozelock-type hose fittings, which is very convenient.

Cons :

The flow control switch (high / low) has no effect.
Unlike pro systems there is no separate microbore water supply to the brush (but I accept that this is not a pro system, and that you don't generally get pro features at a consumer price point). This means that the unit entire handle fills with water and gets heavier the further you extend the pole. If you are cleaning upstairs windows, working from level ground and holding the pole near vertically (i.e. as in the seller's picture), it is easy enough to manoeuvre. However, if you need to clean rooflights or windows by reaching horizontally then it is much more difficult to use. This is probably not how the majority of people will use the product, so my comment may not be relevant to many prospective customers.

If you are using cleaning solution it is mixed with the water and sent to the brush through the handle - switching to rinse mode takes a long time for the previously mixed cleaning solution to be flushed. Similarly, switching back to wash mode for the next window means that it takes a similarly long time for mixed cleaning solution to reach the brush. For washing individual windows one at a time I just put a (small) squirt of cleaning solution directly on the brush and can the immediately rinse the window as soon as the window is clean. I find this gets the best results - windows don't dry while they are still soapy, so far less streaking.

The water exits the brush in a single jet - there is no diffuser - so cleaning solution is not rinsed from the entire brush. For rinsing, it seems that the most effective method is to remove the brush from the glass and use the water jet.

This product does allow me to clean windows that previously I couldn't reach, and using it as it is intended I have increased my score to 4 stars. If, like me, you need to clean windows by reaching horizontally then I would look at systems that have a microbore water supply to the brush - the weight reduction will make it far easier to use, but these products may be more expensive.

This cleaning pole is very much worth every Penny, its very strong in design, it's just like the ones you see being used by window cleaners. I use mine on the glass roof of my conservatory, it get all the birds muck off, if you put fairy liquid in the top end of the pole it leaves the glass gleaming, you just clip on the hose & away you go,could easy reach 2 floors up as well.

Bought to do the conservatory roof. Within half an hour had completed the job and done all the upstairs windows.
13ft is just manageable any longer and it would be too heavy and difficult to manage.
Much more robust than I was expecting. Would recommend to anyone.

The item arrived as promised. On the first impression it looked great. It does the job as described.
But need to be careful when you are using the full 13 feet length, as mine snapped from the base.
I contacted the seller and the issue was resolved in 7 days as the seller send the replacement tap connector.
I am verry happy with the product and costumer service in general as the seller apologise for the delay in contacting me due to some technical problem.

I've now had the pole for just over a week now and am generally pleased with the results that I am getting. Its not perfect, but it does a fairly decent job on the whole. It certainly beats having to pay someone to do my windows, and if I'm being perfectly honest, I've had worse results from some windowcleaners that I have employed in the past. So on the whole, I'd say its a pretty good product.

It does the trick but is far too heavy for me to hold. I have to get my husband to do the top windows. It definitely would not suit an older person but is a good, sturdy pole and worth the money.

I purchased this item for the length so that it would allow me to clean an upstairs window that was situated over a petruding garage. When the pole is fully extended it is hard to control, bendy and heavy to use. My wife tried it and could not use it fully extended. However, it is a good product other than that with ease of cleaning and attached soap dispenser.

I looked at loads of brushes but did'nt really like the look of any of them.
This brush is first class. It is robust and good quality. It really does the job well when used properly. I recommend it.

Cracking bit of kit to clean your windows/frames and gutters. No leaks and sturdy enough to put some force behind the brush when scrubbing the upstairs windows.
