5.0 out of 5 stars STUNNING RETURN TO FORM
1994 was a real watershed year for Stevie Nicks. She had delayed release of her 'Street Angel' album for a year and underwent a life-threatening 7-week detox from the killer tranquilliser Klonopin.

Both industry and fans really wondered if the singer's career was well and truly over, and to squeeze some money out of her before it really was over the record...

3.0 out of 5 stars Should have been better
First let me say that the sound quality is excellent and Stevie is in fine voice. However the editing on this CD is terrible. All songs fade in and out which stops you from fully enjoying the concert experience.
While for the most part this can be forgiven, what I find most unforgivable is the pause between "Outside The Rain"and "Dreams". These two songs run together...

1994 was a real watershed year for Stevie Nicks. She had delayed release of her 'Street Angel' album for a year and underwent a life-threatening 7-week detox from the killer tranquilliser Klonopin.

Both industry and fans really wondered if the singer's career was well and truly over, and to squeeze some money out of her before it really was over the record company forced her onto the road to tour for the 'Street Angel' album, even though she was physically and psychologically very fragile. You'd expect an underpar performance given the circumstances, but what emerged was truly some of the most STUNNING live performances Nicks has given in her entire career!

What a comeback!!!! What a survivor!!!! What an inspiration!!!!

Yes, all the familiar hits are here, and in excellent sound quality, but you really haven't heard them sung SO well before or since, and seeing as this was a direct live radio broadcast there are absolutely no overdubs. The unbeatable talent of this classic singer songwriter is laid fabulously bare for all to enjoy.

If there are standouts, the version of 'Rhiannon' here is THE live version to own - Stevie starts strong and husky, but my god! when she gets to the 'dreams unwind' section you've never heard her belt it out as strongly and passionately as this! Also, a rare chance to get the gorgeous 'Rooms on Fire' live - and this is a superb version, plus 'Talk to Me' sounding a hundred times better than the '86 Red Rocks concert. 'Stand Back' is up there with the very best of all live versions with a lovely long intro, and 'Edge of Seventeen' carries all the mood and power that fans could wish for.

Perhaps the rarest thing about this recording is the solo version of 'The Chain' which actually works very well indeed, and is probably the only instance of Stevie doing it without the Mac ever.

Buy this now - you'll be SO glad you did!!!!

While for the most part this can be forgiven, what I find most unforgivable is the pause between "Outside The Rain"and "Dreams". These two songs run together musically and the pause and fade out between them really destroys the atmosphere.
Fortunately for me I have an original "Westwood One" 2CD set of this show and although it has the commercial breaks there are only 5 pauses in the show as opposed to the 11 on this release
For a better Stevie Nicks Concert experience try "Live in Denver" or (if your ever lucky enough to find it)"Live At The Whiskey"

3.0 out of 5 stars The original concert recording was great...., 23 Feb 2014

But this "official" release has been spolit by poor post editing

The idea of a concert is the songs play, flow into each ofter or some artist banter between songs, here we have fade-out and fade-in's between tacks, but why? It's certainly not hard to cut the concert into complete songs and flow into the next.

Are Left Field Media ashamed of their work?
Despite having a collection of CD's, they feel that they don't need a webpage to advertise there wares or offer a contact address

3 Stars for the good quality sound (they had access to the original Westwood one master tape I would imagine) but minus several thousand for the fade-out - fade-in's

If you have not heard this,be assured,it's a classic. Just in time for Fleetwood Mac touring "Rumours" around the world to celebrate the 40th.anniversary, and probably make heaps of dosh as well.
This is a timely reminder of just how good Stevie Nicks is (with a little assist from Mr.Buckingham)
Recorded live in 1994 at,appropriately, The House of Blues, in Hollywood, this is well worth the investment.
Personally,I wish there was a DVD as I would love to have seen this show.

Good selection of tracks from one of the best female artists there is.
There are a few better live versions of certain songs on other albums but as a whole this album is very good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Live Performance CD!, 13 Oct 2011
This review is from: House Of Blues (Audio CD)
A really great live recording of Stevie Nicks here, including many of Fleetwood Mac's hits and a selection of Nicks' solo material too. `Dreams', `The Chain' and `Rhiannon' are all here to make for a really great recording. Stevie gives a really powerful performance, which together with the fine sound quality all combine to wonderfully capture the atmosphere.
