4.0 out of 5 stars Modern romance with subtle charm and slightly unusual plot.

The heroine helps the hero pursue the solution to a family mystery/misunderstanding that relates to the legacy of the title, while the hero helps the heroine cope with the unwanted attentions of her drunken step father.

2.0 out of 5 stars I was very disappointed the book ended with not much legacy
I was very disappointed the book ended with not much legacy, it showed how the sword and other items were handed down but with no real detail. I was expecting much more, a real story of legend and what the main character Hiro stood for. A very short and deflating story what could have been much more, oh well.

The story is brief but satisfying and the romance does not stray into the bedroom.
Also, I note it is sort of a sequel to 'The Samurai's Garden' but set in modern times, over a century after the events detailed in the previous book. I would also recommend this related tale.
