Nice CD from the 1960's & 1970's when the pace of life was so much nicer, not a worry or care in the world to worry about, just great bubblegum pop music, as a teen growning up in this era. It also reminds me of happy hoildays I had with my family going to Cornwall, oh, happy days!! there are songs on here such as sugar sugar, one bad apple, the pushbike song,in the summertime, little arrows, good morning freedom, billy don't be a hero, waterloo, tiger feet, the list again is endless. I would recommend this CD for all who are still young at heart or grew up in this great era. I would also recommend this seller, great delivery, 1st class.

This is a wide and varied selection of what is pure up-beat pop from the 60s and 70s. Obviously it would be impossible to include every classic pop song and a few tracks felt a little out of place but on the whole this is a great selection. You can't get more poptastic than The Rubettes or Abba. There are also a few tracks in there that I had completely forgotten about which is always a nice surprise. These all seem to be the original recordings apart from Paper Lace. However even when 'Billy don't be a hero' first came out there seemed to be several versions of it. Possibly this version is off an album as it's slightly different from the version I know but it sounds as if it was recorded in the same period as the original.

The chances are that if you're looking at this album then you're probably over 40 which means you've probably got a lot of these tracks on other albums anyway. Even so it's nice to have them all together. Definitely recommended.

No wonder this amazing release has been number two on the UK compilation chart for three weeks now. 70 tracks and every one a winner. Congratulations to whoever spent a lot of time working on the track listing, clearing the tracks and sequencing the release. Several songs on this compilation have been unavailable on anything else since their initial release eg Black Is Black by Los Bravos, Captain Of Your Ship by Reparata & The Delrons and the fabulous Paper Lace number one, Billy Don't Be A Hero. The quality is also superb and I guarantee a lot better than those old 45's you've got stored away. For anyone even slightly interested in the major hits of the sixties and seventies through the bubblegum music era this is a must have CD set.

I got my copy of this yesterday and it's like a trip down nostalgia avenue. Songs I remember from my dad's car when I was very small in the early 70s. Classic pop that just makes you feel good - simple as that. Highly recommended.

This is a great album, wide choice of 60s & 70s music brings back a lot of teenage memories for us oldies! so many great hits on one album no more searching through countless cds to find your favourite tracks, they are all there. Some of the tracks on it I hadn't heard for years! Makes you want to sing along, maybe they could bring out a cdg version for karaoke fans? All in all a fantastic buy, great price and speedy delivery what more could you want!

like an earlier reviewer i have to say it's allways a shame to include often
inferior re-recordings on compilations such as this.
however, overall it's a really good reflection of the songs we were all singing
along to in the late 60's into the 70's (obviously the vast number of tracks on
board are from the 70's)
during these times the world was a troubled place, the arms race was gathering pace,
the 'cold-war' was very much a part of life, the vietnam war was still raging,in the u.k
we swopped 240 pence in the pound for 100.../and yes we were persuaded to join the
'common market'
but....do you know what...the music was 'fun'
the 3-CD set reflects much of what was so good about those days, with many of the big
names of the 'pop' world along with the emerging 'glam-rock' explosion.
love many of the artists on board such as 'the jackson 5' 'bay city rollers' 'the osmonds'
'the sweet' 'melanie' 'abba' 'elton john' 'kenny' 'thr tremeloes' 'the seekers' and
'the wombles' ( the latter mentioned with a smile )
of course there are many great names missing from the compilation, however overall i
have to say the collection is 'pleasing' ....worth a spin.

I saw this advertised on tv and thought I might like it and then my daughter got me it for Xmas. I just love this and never tire of playing it. It reminds me of my teens & all those school discos! I rarely found a song I didn't like (which is unusual for any album as there's usually fillers) it did tail off a bit at the end of disc 2 with a few obscure US hits but even so they were all worth another listen. I was jigging round the kitchen whilst washing up - which is where people of this era probably are nowadays! Great album and brought back some smiley memories. All 3 discs are filled with 70s hits. Only David Cassidy was lacking but really it's packed full of all the best hits from the Archies Sugar Sugar to Bay City Rollers, Mud, The Sweet, The Rubettes, you name it it's pretty much there. Great fun and a very welcome present!
