I've been an Ed Byrne fan for a while, and I can't say I was entirely disappointed with his latest release. For fans debating over whether or not to buy it, I'd say you might as well; it has a few decent laughs, and it may even be a grower like Pedantic & Whimsical. For those completely new to Ed, I'd say start with Pedantic... or Different Class before moving on to this. That, or watch this first and save the best for last; this certainly isn't his best, which is why I'd give it about 3 1/2 stars (may as well say 4). This a good DVD as stand up DVDs go. In my opinion, it just didn't go off as well as his previous shows.

There are many great laughs in this show, but you have to wait for them to get going before they become REALLY funny. Compared with his previous work: A Different Class, I found that one a lot funnier. Byrne is famous for swearing and making crude jokes - which he admits to himself. However here, it seems that the stories he tells are so random that the only thing that connects them is the repeated use of "f***" and "s***". Having said that, he is still one of my favourite observational comedians, because once he gets going he is definitely on point with his comments. Also, the slightly nerdy way his mind works is definitely something I can relate to. So the randomness and completely overused profanity was what spoiled it for me, which is why I gave four stars instead of five.

We're Ed fans from way back so not surprising that we really enjoyed his latest release. Sit back with a glass of something cold (Ed's got one on stage so no reason why viewers shouldn't join him)and have a great laugh. Parents (and others) will relate to all he's got to share.

I love Ed Byrne when I see him on panel shows on English tv.
This was funny, but I took off one star as it wasn't quite as laugh-out-loud funny as I expected it to be. However, it's still a great laugh and I would recommend it to people for the price!

I don't usually like comedy shows where comedians discover parenthood, but the grumpy way Ed Byrne deals with the subject really sets him apart from other comics who go all gooey about it. He also doesn't have to be "brave" or "edgy" to be smart and funny. Crowd Pleaser gets laughs from situations we all recognise while pushing them just that little bit further. It's really well worth seeing.
