This review is from: A Summer Folly (Kindle Edition)
Another lovely read by Mary Kingsley. Summoned home by her late husband's cousin Giles Templeton now Duke of Tremont and Head of the family, Anne Templeton needs to prove that she is now a capable woman. Believing herself jilted by Giles, she married his cousin and went to Jamaica. Seven years later she is back with her young son, Jamie. She intends to fight for the right to run the Jamaican plantation with her trusted ex slave ally and to prevent her son being shunted off to school. Giles, believing himself jilted by Anne is now stiff with 'duty' and cold. He likes a well ordered life but he isn't going to get it now that Anne and Jamie have arrived. Yet again the story is not ruined by bad typing and flows along beautifully. Well done Mary.
